MJB What’s The 411 20 Year Anniversary

Mary J. Blige’s debut 411 turns 20 years old tomorrow. But today, the boombox interviewed the Queen Of Soul on her two decade old achievement.

“Wow, I mean to celebrate that accomplishment of the 20th anniversary of What’s the 411?… it means everything because it was the beginning of everything that I do. It was the beginning of the 20-year career span that I have. Just the longevity and the fanbase and the building of that. The first shows, being nervous, the Howard University performance Puffy booked for us, just having Biggie and everybody around that was around at that time,” she shares. Just hearing your record on the radio for the first time from that album.”

nice song, but not worthy of a big 20 year anniversary for. 2022 when Lose Yourself hits the 20 year mark come talk to me. Not many songs top that as far as perfection. Simple beat w/ undeniable lyrics that paint pictures as they talk. Nearly every word rhymes, compound syllables and all. Academy Award, 24 number 1 charts worldwide, longest running rap song at #1 in guiness book of world recrods (23 weeks).
