  2. Rfoster says:

that Khaled cd is tough tho. Nas and scarface on HipHop… killed it

  3. Inside I'm Ice!, Outside I'm Lava! says:

I remembered when selling that much was five weeks later, and the first four were like 1mil to 500k, damn nobody buys aymore, or maybe artist are being lazy and not putting quality stuff not something that could’ve been a mixtape. Anyway I gotta feeling Jay or Ye will use my tag name in a song!

  4. How Wonderful... says:

I agree with with Inside I’m Ice…its not about digital music or bootlegging. People arent buying anymore because the quality of the music sucks. Thats the bottom line. The industry keeps blaming illegal downloading. basically it comes down to the same few producers and the same few song writers recycling the same ideas.

  5. IamRealTalk ( Rick Ross' GFID 738K FW is Approaching PLATINUM Status - Jeezy Where u At LMAO ) says:

  8. Loaded says:

  9. IamRealTalk ( Rick Ross' GFID 738K FW is Approaching PLATINUM Status - Jeezy Where u At LMAO ) says:

  10. EMINEM & LIL WAYNE SALES >>>>>>>>>>> ALL THE RAPPERS OF TODAY says:

    HA !

  11. Black Shady says:

    congrats on the flop trey.
khaled should stick to dropping singles…..fuck dropping floppin albums

  12. Scrilla says:

Khaled doesn’t get his own post haha

  13. Devante says:

Damn all Trey moved was 135???? He’s the biggest R&B artist out right now!!!

  14. Genie says:

All these no.1 albums not even cracking 150k or selling gold. Who cares about first weeks when you not recouping? Seems backwards.

Trey will be lucky to hit 400k and khaled will barely hit 150k.

  15. Your Life Is A Lie says:

Its not that most music is terrible its just mediocre and that’s just not going to cut it when the consumer has access to so much music for free legally online. Now it has to be something that is memorable and touches the soul in a unique way and not just another hit for the clubs that will be forgotten in 6 months later

  16. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

Congrats Trey. Meanwhile DJ No Neck flopped.

  17. CrdnlSn says:

The music industry is reverting back to when the album was merely a commercial for the live show. No longer is money being made with sales. All these congratulations and celebrations for 140, 000 records sold is a joke and cheerleading at it’s finest. I remember in the 90s how people like Redman were barely staying afloat selling around 300,000 out the gate. Now it’s applauded and made to look like its a great achievement. I guess number one is number one regardless.

Khaled moving 40,000 is not a surprise. That cd is nothing new. He singlehandedly destroyed the posse cut and made it an everyday regular occurance. Drake, Ross, Wayne, and _______ have now become a super group with Khaled yelling his usual sayings over the track. He has the same formula over and over and over again. Think outside the box next time around Khaled please. Focus on Ace Hood.

  18. RUTHLESS says:

Khaled sold less in his first week then 2 Chainz did on his 2nd week

  19. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

2005 was the last year niggas was selling solid numbers. Like niggas already said it cuz the fucking music suck I mean it got a little better since 2008, but the bullshit that came out from 2006-2008 made niggas not wanna pay for music no more. Plus niggas don’t know how to promote there albums, going on you bar/club tour and make an appearence on 106 & Park is not gonna get you Gold let alone platinum record.

  20. Untitled says:

Don’t blame low record sales due to illegal downloading, ‘cus look at Drizzy… Both of his albums went platnium QUICK, so imagine what his numbers would look like if there was no way to get the album without buying it

  21. Tim Lee VA Stand Up says:

    @Devante

Are you a fuckin idiot?? Chris Brown is EASILY the biggest R&B artist out right now, quit trippin on yourself.

  22. cheeeese says:

135k tops the charts?? yeah what a WEAK week in music. cant wait till next month tho 😉

  23. Riddler says:

Anyone know how much Rick Ross sold in his 2nd week? Or in total up to date?

  24. reap what you sow says:

Guess being signed to a major is not profitable nowadays period. And considering all they give out is 360 deals so if u’r signed the only way to make money is to live on the road or become a professional endorser and yes crappy music has a big part in it cause seriously man whether people admit it or not ya’ll know that the isht cats been putting out with a very very very few exceptions isn’t even worth the free download let alone a paid one. If isht was really all the “illegal downloading” then please explain to me how Adele had her success and Sade as well? Adele’s album just now fell outta the top 10 after selling 5.82 million last year and to date 3.7 million this year so someone explain that to me not even going to mention Eminem. Go back to bringing people LEGIT artists and acts with talent and developed and you might see a change cause that so called “hottest” gage doesnt mean isht you treat music like a hustle and this is what you get. It was bound to happen people are sick of it I mean as soon as Chief Keef was pushed and promoted I knew it was time for a change.
