Here is something you didn’t see on TV. The other night, Melle Mel visited the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and warmed up the audience with “The Message” along with The Roots.
hey yungins this was the beginning of what it is all about but im guess you wouldnt get the message. Melle Mel the grandfather of rap. i remember when i was 10 years old and seen them here at the detroit state fair back in 82. Grandmaster flash and the Sugerhill Gang. still have that single vinyl to day.

Conscious music is dope music. Always has been. Who can you imagine, with their current content, sharing the stage with this greatness? Ross, 50, Jay, Em, Nas, Lupe, GZA,…those that you can imagine on the stage are hip hop. Those who can’t share the stage are bastard children.
