    It’s hilarious how this track/dance has sparked so much controversy. Baauer made the track (check this dude out btw, he’s dope as fuck). Some college kid then made a random video of him and his friends dancing retardedly for fun.

    The “Harlem Shake phenomenon” really has nothing to do with the original dance, it’s just something people started doing for fun.

    Oh and to the people not familiar with this thing, here u go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4ucCJX3YNI (first one sickest yet?)

  2. Uh-oh says:

    Only thing I dont like about it is the song title. Call it the “Baauer Shake” or something. No backstory or reason can justify the title jacking.

  3. DJ Game says:

    this guy just does not stop. “yea i definitely support anything that the kids are doing, anytime something is fun, im all for it, by the way buy my new water”. HA! fucking guy.

  4. Set303 says:

    G-Dep was spitting so hard on Special Delivery.
    “Rap ruler, you could ask Buddha, right jab like Zab Judah, every member on my team is the shooter, tight like a womb, no room for intruders.”

    What?!?!?!

  5. County Of Kings says:

    its gravy baby i got it all smothered like makeup i got it all covered

    its financially responsible for diddy to support anything that doesnt kill children basically because, maybe just maybe i can profit off of this.

    the next name change will be called puff profit, or profit daddy, profit puff, u get the point.

    2013 version of Blackface minus the makeup.

    As usual the joke is on YOU black man but then again we’re dealing with a culture that’s more outraged at Lil Wayne dissing a basketball team then him disrespecting the legacy of Emmitt Till

    If the name of the song was called the “Obama Shake” what would be the response then???

  7. Courier says:

    @Your Life is a Lie

    What the fuck does this have to do with race, you dumb fucking idiot?

    Always tryna start a race war when nobody wants to fight.

    You hit the nail on the head.

    @ Courier it’s okay everything that’s understood don’t need to be explained.

  10. Normal says:

    Dude did you guys even watch the video? He said he supports it cause its fun which it is, what harm is it causing? But he also said he wants people to research the real Harlem Shake because its an art form. Diddy obviously loves his ppl and his city. Stop with the lies and race baits. Black people are just fine and will continue to thrive. Don’t listen to that illuminati, devil worshipping, “jokes on you” garbage anymore. Live your life happy and the right way. Know YOUR truth. Don’t listen to people who are afraid and hate tselves. We are literally at the last step flto kick down the door brothers and finally have a FAIR chance at the American Dream. Come together the RIGHT way.

    @uh oh

    actually there is a backstory behind the name. i read it on another site. baauer took a rap from this graffiti artist from philly.the artist made this rap about punching this other artist in the face for crossing out his name. and the lyrics go something like ” i punch you in the face and do the harlem shake”

    […] “Harlem Shake” shook a few feathers, but Diddy isn’t the only one who supports it. In his chat with MTV,
