I think the Nigerian Music industry has to be the fastest growing in the world now.

There was a time about 5-6 years ago when all you would hear in the night clubs was American Hip Hop, now it’s like 95% Nigerian music, and then a few Rick Ross bangers…it’s good to see the likes of dbanj and wizkid p square getting recognition abroad…..

  14. Ea$y Bread says:

  32. ShamGAWD says:

He signed him because he is a huge album seller in Europe/Asia/South America. Not as much in the US but he signed him for pretty much the same reason Birdman signed Jay Sean. Like Nicki Minaj said “overseas money is the same shit as domestic money”

  33. wacco says:

checkout the new offical video Mind Racing Wacco Ft AuthenticB & Diamond http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7hYg675BH0&feature=youtu.be

  34. Simon says:

    You guy’s don’t get it.
Nigerian music is not especially great.. It’s mostly designed for the African party and the original song was a hit especially at wedding’s.

D’Banj isn’t particularly talented, he doesn’t rap, doesn’t sing, can’t dance (Like a Nigerian Lil Wayne) but he’s probably the biggest artiste in Africa. + He had one of the biggest songs in the UK last year.

    ‘Ye killed it as always

  35. Facts says:

    @ ShamGAWD

Jay Sean ain’t sellin shit no more… shit that was about 3 years ago. Can’t even go wood now

Unfortunately u guys got it all wrong, D’banj is an African/Nigerian and sings African/Nigerian songs. How then do u guys expect him to do it the American way? Moreover u guys already have those who are doing it the American way, so free the guy joor.

Afterall most of u guys making noise here are Africans by nature, who knows if some of u are even related to D’banj?

    Aproko people

  39. anonymous says:

With time, d’banj is gonna take over America!!

  40. SimonAndal says:

Song is trash, and I’m Nigerian. D’banj is trash. Nigerian music is trash. Call me unpatriotic, whatever. I’m not gonna be patriotic at the expense of my eardrums.

  41. vizboy says:

    hmmm. NICE 1 dbanj

And to all the haters in the house here are some kind words for you guyz.

Go to hell, you might as well suck my dick and if that is not enough you might as well search for the nearest power station to you and go hug a transformer.

    #proudnaijaboy

  42. Itulah says:

Why the heck will Dbanj overshadowing Don jazzy`s back up voice? The song it`n`t well framed like Psquare and Rick Ross. No scence at all….

  43. TrickstarBucks says:

D’banj is on the same level of talent with Vic-O, another Nigerian star. Heard Kanye’s looking to sign Vic-O next to complete his African connect.

  44. Babaearly says:

    Dbanj isnt so bad.
Dont hate on others….esp cuz they richer dan u.
If u dont lyk him den fuk off.
    Cuz there’s d good…and there’s d bad.
Nigerian artistes release whack songs mostly just to get some extra cash….and so does every one else.
dont expect everything they release to be platinum.
Thats why we have a choice.
