  5. Jav says:

the truth is the gifted is nicely produced. But Wale’s delivery is too inconsistent. I would blab on with how he sold out but we’ve all heard it before.

  6. pookie says:

    wale is dope

  7. Chris says:

Honestly, mixed thoughts on this. First, I haven’t heard ‘The Gifted’. I’ve probably heard 4 records from it, which are great.

But this episode of ‘The Truth’ is a weird format. It’s titled ‘How Good Is The Gifted?’. It sounds like an album review or breakdown of the work, but instead it consists of a sitdown with his manager, of course Rich is going to say great things about it (which he should) and like I mentioned, I haven’t heard the album yet and what I’ve heard is great.

  8. Siy@ says:

He a C list rapper with a B list album so meh

  9. Karate Kick Miguel says:

Wale is way too arrogant for me! There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance and he follows along the latter. His arrogance makes him appear and act very annoying..I don’t know man. Not hating, just stating why it’s hard to listen to him or take his music seriously.

Build your accolades and success first. The n maybe you might have something to be cocky about. Be humble bruh. Take a lesson from Cole, Cudi, Nas, etc etc.

  10. Parker says:

The gifted is an amazing album and great for hip hop. I think that “album about nothing” will be even better

  11. Facts says:

    Album is wack as hell

  12. King Game #OKE says:

    Produced well…bout it

  13. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

“Album is wack as hell”….Thats sums it up right there. MMG keep them L’s on hand.

  16. Chris says:

    Jay-Z = Roc Nation

    Wale = Roc Nation

Jay-Z’s ‘Life + Times’ may not be able to give a fair review?

  17. 400_Degreez says:

I think its definitely his best work to date and it’s my personal favorite album this year. He took it to another level sonically. Even though I find myself researching lyrics to find out what he’s saying, his bars are on point.

My favorites are Love/Hate, Heaven’s Afternoon, Gullible, Rotation, and 88.

    I give it a 4.5/5

  18. ispeakthetruth says:

    album is trash

  19. TDucks410 says:

Not sure how a real fan of music could listen to The Gifted and call it whack?? lol
The album is dope.. from concepts to production… I think he hit the nail on the head.. but nobody wants to listen when a rapper talks about “black heroes” or touches on topics that make us reflect on our culture in a non glorified way…
Im happy Wale is progressing the way he is as an artist.. just hope he keeps it up

Umm this is a wale post. Poor guy is confused

  24. The Thinker says:

Wale is one if the illest MC’s in the game as I type. His lyrics are thought provoking and witty. I look forward to buying his album to support a Brotha who has learned how to sell a record, but give me an opportunity to remember how gifted my people really are. Shout out to DC and especially Georgia Ave and 11th St NW

  25. Siy@ says:

Lol I love this someone posting as me (Siy@ at Tuesday, June 25 2013 at 2:02 PM EST), I can go to a football game, f*ck bettys, do my radio show and still have my thoughts posted for me #LUCKYME : )

Next time “Siy@” lol just try use words I’d use I’d never use words like C LIST or MEH… And I would never post on a Wale post lol.

Get well soon Mandela, you’ve done our country so proud.

  26. KingJuggaNott says:

Good album…his mixtape efforts are all better than the efforts made for purchase. Why is that?

  27. Skinny says:

This was a good informative episode nicely done

  28. Dre says:

This Truth Seems As Wale’s The Gifted Was Being Defended First Before What Was Thought About The Album. Really Disliked His Last Album. Didn’t Like the Records That Were Put Out For The Gifted Besides Love/Hate. 88 Is Dope But More Of A Mixtape Feel To Me. I’ll Have To Listen To the Whole Project, But This Episode Made Me Say I Don’t Know.

  29. Winston Churchill says:

    Even rappers don’t like Wale.

  30. sway-z says:

Wale been garbage for awhile, some of you niggas sound like this is brand new or something…

  31. Ramel says:

I swear I don’t get how son or his music appeals to anybody. It has be for the new generation. As a guy in his early 30’s, Wale is one of the worst rappers I’ve heard that isn’t a gimmick. Skee-Lo – I Wish >>>> everything Wale has ever released. Nobody is gonna be listening to any Wale music in 5 or 10 years from now. It’s all disposable music.

  32. I like the new style of these Truth episodes, much more entertaining than the old way!

  33. Morris Day Laugh says:

    @Ramel

Lotus Flowerbomb is probably a modern classic.

  34. toad3527 says:

@chris I completely agree very misleading title for this post. I thought I was going to hear some sort of review and comparison to Kanye and J Cole

  35. Playboy69 says:

Wale Gifted is a WASTE TOO HIP-HOP!…. The Album is WACK!

  36. reverbnation.com/KoreyPaige don’t say i didn’t warn you.

Are you tired of going office daily? Now you can work at home with Google and make your own hours. This is not scam. On Saturday I got a gorgeous Ariel Atom after earning $6292 this – four weeks past. I began this six months/ago and right away began to make at least $80.. per-hour. this really is the most financially rewarding Ive had. I work through this link, http://Bling6.ℂom
