New Music: Young Jeezy “It’s A Cold World (A Tribute To Trayvon Martin)”

its a cold world-cover

It sure is. Yesterday, George Zimmerman was found not guilty for second degree murder of Trayvon Martin. As the world shares their mixed emotions, Jeezy shares his in his new track.

I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events. These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it.

Give me a break. The song doesn’t even sound like it has anything to do with Trayvon.

  2. TEFF says:

HW IS THIS A TRIBUTE THO? HE MENTION TRAYVON ONCE I THINK IF ANY AT ALL.. HE JUS TALKIN ABOUT HIS OTHER HOMIES THT GOT KILLED…THIS NIGGA DEFINATELY TRYIN TO CAPITALIZE

  3. Facts says:

dope… can’t go wrong with Jeezy and Cardo

  4. It's the roc says:

Damn look how quick Jeezy is to capitalize on the Trayvon verdict. You’re already on Jeezy, no need to force it. Good song though.

  5. glowman says:

ANOTHER RAPPER TRYING TO GET A BUZZ OF THE SITUATION IF YOU WANT TO REALLY HELP DONATE MONEY TO THE FAMILIES

  6. edi says:

    thank you.

lets see RICK ROSS DO THIS.

    In solidarity

  9. JustMyOpinion says:

You can hardly hear him, the beat override his vocals.

  10. Black Shady says:

after listening to the song, I must say Jeezy u is a lame for callin this shit a tribute.

  11. Lihangin says:

Hahahahaha this is the problem with this world, the white man has been feeding us hormones and making us weak. Making people dance to the phrase “it’s a cold world” over and over again. If you want true meaning listen to 2pacalypse Now. Listen to 2pac talk about true life, injustice and fixing your life with education and get smarter than the oppressors. The problem is kids listen to these Jay Z stories fabricating life making that hustle attractive. The world would of been a far better place if 2pac survived and Jay Z never came up feeding off the ills of society. Fight the Power.

  12. Gilgamesh says:

^^^^^ I concur. I am a fan of Jay, but you are right, he doesn’t promote education and his guise is the drug dealer turned mogul and he rarely raps of anything outside of that spectrum, if anything he’s a glorified facilitator to the destruction of the black youth in more ways than none.

  13. sway-z says:

    @Lihangin

Wtf you talking about? Niggas like you make me sick, talking empowerment but in the same breath hating on another black man’s success. Hov’s done more with his money to help than most of these niggas talking black power.

  14. sway-z says:

Oh and fuck this song and any other rapper planning on releasing a “tribute” any time soon. We don’t need to hear y’all bullshit right now…

  15. Yo Mama says:

Jeezy a bitch for leaving Gibb’s in the cold

  16. rz says:

How come i never y’all post tht Kevin Gates nigga on here as fas as dwn south artist he the best of the new crop hands dwn he got some fire

  17. LOL says:

    Jeezy desperate

  19. Har-magedon, G.O.D. says:

This ain’t about Jeezy, Gibbs and less about Jay-by the way, what did the latter do wrong, hum, beating these folks at their own game, no? Go and listen to Noam Chomsky, stop following these homo /kissing another man on the lips tight jeans fucker and/or fruits with jeans hanging below their knees. Y’all need to Wake the fuck up. Black male is being emasculated and y’all feeding into this shit.

  20. Cool c says:

Jeezy said all real shit he been saying yall just dumb ass people he snapped

  21. 7thEmerson says:

It sickens me how people will knock Jay, but not Keef, Wayne, Soulja Boy, Ross, etc to a greater capacity. Saying Jay doesnt say anything about empowerment or education is foolish.

  22. Therealist says:

did yall listen to it first verse he says trayvon.. not a fan of the song, but cant bitch sayin he didnt say trayvon in the song, get the dick out ya ear and listen. doesnt matter if your black your now a second class citizen under a half white paper bag passin traitor! so sit back and enjoy the shit you created, while i pray for your dumb ass that you dont die of the hunger coming to a stomach near you!

    ignite ass niggas 🙂

SHOULD NEVA GAVE YOU NIGGAS MONEY!

  23. MsAmErica says:

If Jeezy isn’t capitalizing on this and it was just a tribute…then why did he release after the verdict for maximum exposure? Jeezy ain’t real, Carbon got a bf on the side and his wife don’t know, Clem still running then fake tax forms cause his fam (Jeezy) don’t do shit for his pockets. I knew Jeezy was greedy, but to burn his own community and skin color for it? I’ll never listen to his music again. Justice for Trayvon!!!

  24. john d says:

You dumb fucks its not just a tribute to trayvon. But to all of the falling people he stated. And the way it happened as to why the world is cold. Hes not tryinh to make money off this.

  25. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

    Respect to Jeezy !

  26. RRCoolJ says:

What Lihangin said about Pac is dead on. I don’t know about knocking Jay though. He does speak up sometimes like on “Murder to Excellence” and many other songs but I get where you’re coming from. He doesn’t truly ride out the way Pac did but not everyone is ready to get assassinated. Pac was truly one of a kind.

  27. DoinTooMuch says:

U niggas sound really dumb callin jeezy desperate and lame for doin this, when he always pay respect to events like this. Show props instead of showing disrespect.

  28. DoinTooMuch says:

    Song nice by the way

  29. Space Ghost says:

To all you lames that brought Jay-Z in this convo, I officially believe you skim through songs. Magna Carta contains some very introspective lyrics. Even more blatantly that Hov normally does because he normally raps in parables. With that said, many are very much in denial as on previous albums songs such as “You Must Love Me,” “Soon You’ll Understand,” “Song Cry,” “Blueprint (Momma Loves Me),” Meet The Parents,” A Ballad For The Fallen Soldier,” Moment Of Clarity,’ Minority Report,” and now add to that “HEAVEN,” Oceans,” and “JAY-Z Blue.”

So please….stop the hate on the great one because all those songs that I named are introspective, offers perspectives on love, relationships, pain, disappointment, betrayal, etc. So have you all been skimming through Jay’s music or do you just the money talk because in reality….THAT’S WHAT YOU REALLY LIKE???

  30. GEE STYLES says:

http://soundcloud.com/dr-gstyles/black-kkk Here’s A Real Tribute not only 2 Trevon But All The Life’s Lost To Gun Violence!

  31. Space Ghost says:

P.S…..on the other hand let’s not pretend that although Tupac had some positive songs, let’s not forget that after he played Bishop in “JUICE,” he fell into the program and begin making and acting out GANGSTER MUSIC. He flung around the words bitches and hoes, he shot a couple of folk here and there in his records, he spoke using Alize and Weed, so stop being so self righteous and falsifying info in order to try to diss Jay when in fact you haters should be so proud that that Black Man has proven that we all can exceed all expectations in this life. Look at his interviews and see him speak on teaching these athletes and musicians how to manage their money and how he is going to be a catalyst to ensure that these industries stop shafting these athletes and musicians and pay them more of a fair share of the profits for their MAJOR contribution in creating the art and entertainment that people pay to see in the first damn place.

  32. That Guy says:

stick to rapping about events you know Jeezy.

  33. WTF? says:

These Pac trolls never fail. They have Tupac turet’s syndrome! Lol talkin about pac when no one else even mentioned him! LOL stupid fucks! Everyone else has to suffer thru your stupidity. Here’s a normal conversation in hip hop today:

Normal Guy: “Hey that new Young Jeezy record is alright…”

Toothless, drunk Tupac fanatic: “Fuck Jeezy! He aint a real nigga…Now my boy Pac?… that was a real nigga”

Normal Guy: “Hold on fam, no one was even talking about Tupac”

Toothless, drunk Pac stan: “If pac was alive you think all these niggas would be sellin albums now? HELL NO!?”

Normal person: “well yes, Jay-Z just went platinum, and…”

Toothless, Dirty Washed up bum with a Tupac shirt on in 2013: “Fuck Jay-Z, he’s not a real nigga! Now Pac?…That nigga was a real nigga!”

Normal guy: “…Oh boy, here we go again!”

  34. The black robin thicke says:

^^^^ u sound gay or Caucasian haha

  35. WTF? says:

Haaaa! ^^^ I dont “sound” like anything when I’m typing! But you write stupid or illiterate haha… and I guess I’ll just call you a hater and a lame since that was prolly ur next reply anyway! Lol

  36. Yaboyboyforiegnluccino says:

^^^^ bottom feeder haha, are u gay or Caucasian? Answer the question.

  37. StarFox64 says:

i deadass listen to lil herb and lil bibby and barely listen to rap or music anymore in general…

  38. John Doe says:

So why are you guys all tryna tear Jeezy down when he is putting out something positive, I swear its our race that be holding us back man, damn shame black people hate on other black people the most

  39. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

Jeezy better than fat bot Rick Ross.

  40. Showboat says:

Yeaaah . . . .this song had little or nothing to do with Trayvon.

    Dope beat though.

  41. butter says:

Are you going to argue on a blog site or help your people and communities?
