Common Speaks On New Album

Hyper As A Heart Attack.

Backstage at the House Of Blues, Common talks to Revolt about his new album entitled, Nobody Smiling. Once again, the album will be produced by longtime friend, No I.D. Honestly, if it sounds anything like The Dreamer/The Believer, we’re in for a real treat.

Nice. I loved The Dreamer/Believer. Common is my second favortie MC after Nas he’s one of the best ever.

  2. D-Twice says:

Yeah the Dreamer/The Believer is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. It didn’t win any awards but its bigger than that. His music inspires people.

  3. Public Hairs says:

Common and NaS are the ONLY dudes from the 90’s (yes, ONLY) that have genuinely lasted. They don’t sell big #’s (most of the wack guys/girl do so it’s w/e) but the quality is always there. Common takes proper breaks between albums to let the proper hunger build up.

  4. YouGonEatYourCornbread says:

meanwhile u got some ignorant nigga named cheif keef promoting violence in chicago

  5. Steve2014 says:

Super excited about this….Hopefully common will be on his pro black “Be” type swag and this interview makes it sound promising. No I.D. is also very consistent on the beats. I hope they can get Kanye to put down the blouses and crank out a few beats.

  6. Illverse says:

I haven’t ever been disappointed by a C O double M album …. well except for Electric Circus but I give him a mulligan on that one. I heard somewhere he might drop a mixtape before the actual project. Anybody heard any more about that?

    1. Dashing28 says:

That Neptunes produced album was pretty terrible man. Way worse than Electric Circus, which at least TRIED to be different. If Electric Circus came out post Yeezus, critics woulda been all about it.
