The spotlight is on Big Sean. Tomorrow, his junior set, Dark Sky Paradise, will take home the gold medal on the Billboard charts with an estimated tally of 167,742 in first week sales. This will be Sean’s first number one album. Congrats!

I fux w/ Sean. After sitting w/ the Lp for a week, I’d say that it’s a dope record, his best yet. I just don’t think that it’s strong enough to get him in the conversation of the top tier emcees doing it now. Drake, Cole, and Kendrick r miles ahead of the bunch.
Sean is a beast and tho most n!99@$ sleep on the kid, he can out bar, and out wit both Drake and Cole. Dude’s word play is incredible. It might just be me but, he can’t seem to carry a whole lp by himself. He relies to much on features and I feel like it’s holding him back. He has a lot of potential tho.

“That title—Dark Sky Paradise—fits it so perfect for me,” Sean says as the day wraps up. “There were a lot of thunderstorms in my life. A lot of rumbling, a lot of lightning. Then sunshine came.”

Translation: My last album flopped but I’m dating a pop star, I got the Drake feature, the DJ Mustard production, and my album title sounds similar to Kanye’s My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy. This formula is definitely gonna work.

Big Sean is trash musically. He tries extra hard with the zany flows but they obnoxious to listen to. Now he’s going with the fake artistic asthetic to hide the flaws in his music. Kanye can do it cause his music is actually remarkable.
These numbers are a result more of his down to earth personality and those youtube motovational clips he been putting out. So props to him for being a good used car salesmen, but artist with a vision. Nope.
