That is black Jesus attire sir

      1. marty mcfly says:

Then keep that shit at church. Oh yeah and no, I’m not suggesting Kendrick needs to start dressing up like a weirdo either or that clothes is more important then the music but I’m just sayin.

Cortez and Dickie’s LOL Gtfoh, even when that was poppin like 25 years ago, niggas didn’t just have one style fool. Cortez and Dickies was a mexican thing (Cholos) in Cali, most niggas never had a dickie suit in there life and if they had some cortez, it was like one pair. Niggas wore khakis but not dickie suits and had on chucks not cortez.

          1. ih man says:

Bruh then how is Drake a legend, cause every Kendrick album is way better than Drakes and I think you know that B Dot.Kendrick > Drake easy

          2. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

I disagree on who’s better, but that’s beside the point.

The overall impact (not quality) of Drake’s music trumps Kendrick’s. Hell, Jay and Kanye made watch the throne as a statement to him

Can you honestly say Kendrick is sitting at the same table as Hov, Em and even Kanye?

          3. Luke says:

Not saying Kendrick is sitting there yet, even tho imo he will DEF be sitting there after another album. You really think Drake makes better music fam? like higher quality? Name one Drake album better than GKMC? Name one Drake album better than TPAB.

          4. marty mcfly says:

There has been like 50 different rappers that have come and gone that were supposed to be legends that didn’t end up that way. Kendrick will be a great rapper but fast forward to 2025? You don’t know if he’ll still be considered what he is today or not. You take somebody like Game, the nigga sold millions of albums, he got classic 100 – 400 bar freestyles, clearly he can rap his ass off etc… His he a legend? DMX came out strong too, his he a legend? Black Thought, Common, Lupe, Jadakiss, Mos Def, Talib, Ras Kass, Ti, Fab, Budden etc… all these dudes have had fans that made similar claims when they came out about one day how they would be legends…

Ok cool so its legends all over the place in Hip Hop then. Like I said earlier “the legend” title depends on how loosely you use the word legend. Ras is legend to me because in the mid 90s alot of people tried to front like the west aint have no real MCs. Soul On Ice in 96 came through with that Nature Of The Threat and lit up the underground like a mothafucka. The east respected that shit cause those in the know knew what that album was about.

          7. Sommo says:

Biggie was a legend off of two albums. Just appreciate he is a living legend. and if you think Drake is a legend and not kendrick I will never respect your rap opinion and not understand how people like you have a job like this

          8. brza says:

But Drake’s formula is getting tiresome “real quick” rap – harmonize (sometimes terribly) rap – harmonize etc etc! He’s isn’t thinking outside of the box like Kendrick is imo it’s just the same sing along hit records over and over and over

          9. marty mcfly says:

But it is hits over and over though. When you got one rapper who at one point had 21 songs at the same time on top 40? Thats some shit your likely to never see again in music period. I’m talking ALL artists period. I’m talking thats some shit Michael Jackson aint do. When you got a rapper that has sold 100 million songs in less then a decade? That is some extreme level of artistry that you probably won’t see ever again, in Hip Hop. So when you talk about “legend”? and compare Kendrick to Drake? I mean clearly if you call Kendrick a legend already then wtf is Drake?

          10. Iamstillmusic says:

          15. Iamstillmusic says:

My problem with Drake fans is that they never talk about the quality of his music, only records broken. Is it significant? 1. that nigga says:

you have a point. at this point, they both have the same number of classics, and were/are one of the two biggest rappers in the game (pac/drake). While big had more big records, alotta dudes in the hood are looking up to kendrick in a way that they didn’t big because he speaks on so many issues.

      1. marty mcfly says:

BIG 2nd album went DIAMOND… Now before you say oh well thats cause he died? The songs were dope as fuck though. Bar for Bar, beat for beat, concept for concept… I don’t know if Kendrick can see BIG as an artist. Even almost 20 years later he’s still lyrically and artistically beyond what most MCs are doing.

        1. Eddie 510 says:

He only went Diamond because Life After Death was a 2 disc album so every time it was bought it counted as 2 purchases

          1. marty mcfly says:

So that means he went 5x platinum then. There were other 2 disc cds out as well and they didn’t go diamond so whether you wanna give him credit or not or you wanna find a way to rationalize it, the results are still the same. Now if the “new generation” wanna compare Kendrick to BIG (or Pac) then go ahead but as far as me personally being somebody that was a fan of theirs while they were alive, I don’t see those comparisons. Now if Outkast (diamond also) was one person? Then maybe thats a comparison to K dot that Id entertain but Notorious? No, that nigga was just to ill of an MC.

          2. Eddie 510 says:

I agree that Big is one of the greatest rapper bar for bar But Kendrick is one of the greatest rappers out now, which doesn’t mean much in today’s hip hop but they are great in their own right

He’s not quite there yet. The word legend is used way too loosely when it comes to hip hop music.

LIFE AFTER DEATH was the blueprint for a successful commercial rap album. Yall niggas don’t even understand how ill BIG was not to mention you can’t compare Kendrick with Big 2 totally different styles. Big changed the game Kendrick is dope but legendary? He’s not quite there yet. The word legend is used way too loosely when it comes to hip hop music.
