I do find drake to be really talented and I love his music, but I find his “I’m not competing with these other rappers part frustrating. The nigga still had yet to make a classic, generation-changing record, and Kendrick has two. Sure drake kills everyone in sales, but it seems like at times drake does this more for the hit singles and money than for the actual artistic craft.
Yhh I disagree, Every Drake album /hit-song has made moments YOLO, Started from the Bottom, 0-100 as much as a better artist as Kendrick is, none of his albums are as a influential nor generational changing (GKMC may be an exceptation since it brought story-telling to a mainstream level even though come may argue Drake having story telling in his albums) and TBAP would be a more unique album if everyone in hip-hop ain’t heard of Flying Lotus /Madlib/ Thundercat.
