Shmurda Saga.
Since Bobby Shmurda’s arrest last fall, his A&R and Epic Records exec Sha Money XL, has been mum on the case. Breaking his silence with Revolt, Sha says Epic Records isn’t culpable for not posting Bobby’s $2 million bail. He goes on to say, “I’m with him till the end, no matter what.” Bobby’s due back in court tomorrow.

$2 million bail sounds extremely high though. I do see what he meant about boutique labels being the only ones to bail artists out.
All in all, i would love to hear how Bobby REALLY feels about Epic records though.
he has a point. Bobby is an adult and has to be held accountable for this alleged acts. If the average person gets arrested, don’t expect their employer to bail them out. This is no different.

Its a huge difference with having a partnership with a record label and working the cash register at burger king… The main reason is they exploited him for his gangster image so they should have known something like this COULD happen… And when it goes down there not helping at all.
He has NO partnership.. he signed a deal to make music for a label.. He didn’t even OWN the song he blew up on. They (Epic) had to buy the beat from jahlil. So they made their money they are under no obligation to bail a kid out.

To be kind of a little bit fair and to play devils advocate. They look at income and resources on a case to case basis. 2 mil for shmurda is probably much more attainable than 1 mil to that kid. I don’t understand why he got bail in the first place tho. What in the world is stopping him from doing it again. He admitted to doing it, he’s gonna get life or death.
