Quentin Miller Denies Ghostwriting For Drake

Dear All,

After word got out that Quentin Miller was allegedly Drake’s ghostwriter, the man of mystery broke silence on the subject. The floor is all yours Mr. Miller.

Winter 2014… I was just another guy working a job he hated with a passion for music…. And somehow found myself on the phone with One of my idols..

i told him i worked in a bakery and his exact words were “Fuck that, your destined for greatness”…

Hearing that from someone that I’ve been studying since 2009, bar for bar…. Theres no way to describe that..

Most of the project was done before i came in the picture.. i remember him playing it for me for the first time thinking “Why am I here?” like.. what does he need me for??

The answer is.. Nothing…

I watched this man piece together words in front of me…

I watched him write/ replace bars 2- 3 at a time on 6pm in NY.. I witnessed him light up, go in and freestyle madonna….

I took notes from the best in the game….

I remember him Showing me the thank you notes in NY before the album dropped.. Showing me the QM, telling me they put me on the credits (Ghostwritter???) … He attached my name to something that touched the world..

When nobody would pay attention, drake saw something in me and reached out… Of all people… drizzy..

Two artist in exact opposite spaces in their career.. We came together and made something special..

I am not and never will be a “ghostwriter” for drake.. Im proud to say that we’ve collaborated .. but i could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together ..

Thats all i have to say on it.. back to this 1317 shit…

– Q.M.

u already kno drake made this nigga break his silence…

    1. diggz says:

I bet you a million that drake didn’t say shit to him. Does this sound like something forced or something that sounds like it’s from the heart. Fuck meek and flex for trying to act all hard

      1. chrom212 says:

what does flex have to do with anything??? im lost

        1. M Gar says:

Flex out on social media runnin his mouth about exposing drake.

      2. Jay says:

I agree 100%, Flex shows his bitchassness once again acting like a drama queen. Even Ebro didn’t defend Flex’s views.

  2. Adam Jones says:

Yep, as expected, a big storm over nothing. Always knew Drake writes all of his bars, the QM thing was purely of a collaborative basis, which many artists do nowadays.

    1. Kris Kompute says:

      STFU Stan.

    2. chrome212 says:

meek mill could use drizzy help!

    3. PacK Man says:

he’s a CO-WRITER not a GHOST WRITERS! Drake gave QM CREDITS on the ALBUM!!! He didn’t try to HIDE the HELP!!! That’s what they do to GHOSTWRITERS they get NO CREDITS just a CHECK!

  3. jimj87 says:

this whole thing was so ridiculous…
look up all your fav rapper’s album credits… each track has 2-3 writer credits whether its from a sample or maybe a flip of a line
meek tried to ruin a reputation over what exactly no tweet support?
I cannot wait till meek’s run is over… rappers like him don’t last
although his into will live on

    1. 1KillMovez1 says:

to be honest meek had to put the spotlight back on him.. because future took it from em its easy 2 see.

      1. jaja420 says:

fact I forgot about DWMTM as soon as Future said he was coming with Dirty Sprite 2

      2. MIKEY ESCO!!! says:

I SAW A INTERVIEW WHERE MEEK SAID WALE HELPS HIM WITH THE INTROSPECTIVE TYPE BARS…IS THAT ANY DIFFERENT? JUST ASKING!!!
FK YO EMOTIONS AND YO FEELINGS!!!

    2. Iamstillmusic says:

You’re right, let’s pretend like these words were authentic and not propaganda to make Drake look like the best out.

Drizzy is the most popular rapper but for 5 years it’s been the same content

      1. Reeq says:

seriously. dude has been making the same 3 songs over and over again.

    3. ilexx says:

I’ve checked my fav rappers album credits b4 Meek was barking about Drake.

I ain’t seen shit but sample and producer credits on those liner notes.

As I’ve stated multiple times in these comments of late:

Producers usually get writing credits regardless. So if you actually check some of those additional names you see in the credits of say Jay-Z, Nas, Big, Rakim, G Rap, Pun…. These are either producers OR the writers of the song they sampled.

Look don’t make ppl fool you because you haven’t looked into shit on your own.

Understand, I’ve done my homework. Check the liner notes on your fav rapper. I swear if they are the same lyricists we argue about being top 5, top 10, all day everyday… The additional names you don’t know, 99.9% of the time is the producer or the writer of the song that was sampled.

Jay, Nas, Big, Pac, Pun, Rakim, G Rap, Wu Tang, any fucking true legendary lyricist you’ve ever defended, they’ve never beeb suspect of HIRING somebody to submit references tracks FOR THEIR RAPS.

      Talk about that…

  5. engee00 says:

where was nicki in all of this… she never said a word
personally I think she benefitted the most from drakes run
moment for life when he was really heating up brought her to mainstream
he featured her on 2 big hits from take care
and2 of the biggest songs off pinkprint were the ones drake submitted (she said that he submitted 2)

    1. Kris Kompute says:

Yea, cause having the best verse on Monster and Bedrock did nothing for her.

    1. you hold wack says:

  9. Suckerfreeuniversity says:

DONT LET THESE LAMES FOOL U. DRAKE DONT WRITE HIS SHIT. Ask Amir OBE how Drake literally took his song star 67 & rapped it back for verbatim and didn’t even change a line. So bad that he talkin bout cc scams. Smfh @ mofos who ain’t on the inside defending this great actor

    1. jusz21 says:

so who wrote his line when his mom try to run away or when that chick wish she had kept his baby & didn’t call his grandma in the nursing home? his lyrics are pretty personal IMO

      1. ilexx says:

Why do you fools think when somebody writes for somebody it means they used EVERYTHING word for word.

Ok so Drake wrote the lines about his mommy and his uncle, and maybe the bitch at Georgia state but great. He still borrowing flows, hooks and verses for multiple songs. Wtf is up with that?

  10. Iamstillmusic says:

All of this was propaganda to make Drake look like the best rapper, from Meek’s Twitter run, to this guy with his fake words

In reality he isn’t even a better rapper than Kendrick or Cole, the debate is tiring

  11. NickB303 says:

Toronto been lame. Had to fly in a brotha from atlanta to give it some game. You cant steal this line Drake.

    1. hiphop1 says:

niggaz dont wanna believe drake really aint writing his shit ha!

      1. Mylo says:

I heard his mixtape (Quentin) don’t really sound like drake….

  15. Jay says:

Niggas gone learn the best response is no response. Meek’s loudness came off as petty, insecure and jealous. Drake’s silence just showed he’s above all the bullshit. On to the next….

    1. ilexx says:

Is that what drake’s silence has shown?

If ppl said somebody Ghost wrote for me, I woulda said point blank y’all niggaz trippin, case closed.

Seems like buddy is doing alot of damage control to me, first 40, two days later… Q says something. Y Q ain’t release no statements yesterday or the day b4?

Y’all niggaz stay falling for the okie doke.

You call Meek’s rant petty but at the end of the day, he exposed something that was out there, in front of your face, that y’all didn’t even notice. Yes Drake credited ol’ boy wid his work but y’all ain’t realize drizzy was getting heavy assists with those bars.

  16. thedeamkid19 says:

quentin miller is sucking dick paragraph after paragraph

  17. Reeq says:

so he “collaborated” with drake. his vocals aren’t featured on the songs. he didn’t produce the beat for the song. but he received writer’s credit. ummm…that means he wrote for drake lol.

i like how he conveniently didn’t address the leaked reference track like none of us heard it lol.

    1. jusz says:

yes lol… ghost writing however, you don’t get your name on the album credits

  18. Pill_Cosby? says:

I usually don’t do interviews with women unless I fornicate with them

  19. Mylo says:

Didn’t drake ghost write for weezy? Shits crazy. But the cold part is Nicki don’t write her own shit… Smh

    1. Chrome 212 says:

whats the dude from philly who also ghost wrote for weezy? nobody comes @ wayne for usin ghost writers.

      1. Dsunn says:

Gilly. It’s ghostwriting in this way: I lay the flow down, tempo, cadences, inflection …wave. , and you just follow my pattern.

      2. Schwagg132 says:

Thats because even the “dude from philly” admitted he never wrote for wayne and drakebnever has either y’all act like bitches gossiping.

      3. Accounts says:

Gillie the kid lol the bean head nigga but I honestly think Wayne completely stole his flow post carter one to carter 3

    2. Iamstillmusic says:

You are obviously not a Lil Wayne fan, if you knew his style of rapping you’d know no one could emulate that. Too unique

    3. MIKEY ESCO!!! says:

THERE YOU GO WENDY WILLIAMS CRIP!!! DAMN SHOULDNT YOU BE OUT USING YOUR PSYCOLOGY DEGREE? ALWAYS FKN GOSSIPING!!! FK YO FEELINGS!!!

    4. ax says:

Idk about ghost write but he’s credited for writing “I’m Single” for wayne and performed it once or twice live.

  20. T says:

Now let’s see if Louie V Gutta will release a statement on how he wrote records for Meek Mill on Dream & Nightmares the album… (Lol I know that shit won’t happen Meek Mill would hang himself)

  21. el jim chapo guzman says:

    Drake stole someone else’s charisma.

    1. Kris Kompute says:

      Wallet.

      1. el jim chapo guzman says:

    2. . says:

what type of dude get robbed in his own city (new york)? dude ny is literally filled with white hipsters n Rats but yet yo internet obessed ass still got robbed.

      1. el jim chapo guzman says:

So what I got robbed..at least it wasn’t strong arm.

  22. brza says:

You know Drake is highly regarded when Hip Hop artists such as Slaughterhouse and Lupe Fiasco etc aren’t letting these allegations discredit his integrity as an artist. But then again you have these attention hungry nobodies like OG Maco on Twitter crusading against him as if he slept with his girl? People genuinely like Drake and it is what it is

    1. Dark Matters says:

Have those individuals been asked and have given their piece?

      1. ShatteredWorld says:

Yes. Lupe and Slaughterhouse both defended him. Next.

        1. Dark Matters says:

Yeah I just watched Slaughterhouse dance, hem and haw around the issue. I wouldn’t call that defending him. Crooked was a bit less forgiving, but still cordial about it.

  23. Fleez says:

I don’t think ANYBODY thinks that Drake CAN’T write (IE Puff or DRE).

Maybe when “trap” became so prominent he needed help writing in THAT style (10 Bands)

But “Comeback season”, “So Far Gone”, “Thank Me Later”, “Take Care”, that’s all him.

This is a WORSE look for Meek, now he looks petty. Trying shit on a nigga that was on his 1st Radio Hit “Amen” and on, truthfully, the BEST song on his album. “R.I.C.O”.

He gon be ranting about the treatment of “light skin” rappers vs. “dark skin” rappers, next.

    1. hiphop1 says:

meeks first radio hit was “imma boss” tho.

      1. T says:

“Young & Gettin” was a radio hit for Meek Mill too; written by Louie V Gutta

    2. eastpointvet says:

Rico not the best song on the album

  24. bronxbillyunz says:

QUENTIN WROTE THE 1ST VERSE ON 10 BANDS – PERIOD. I RESPECT DRAKE AS AN ARTIST- BUT AS FAR AS HIS RAPPING SIDE- WE DON’T CONDONE GHOSTWRITING IN HIP HOP FOR THOSE AT THE FOREFRONT – SOMEBODY THROWS U A HOOK… THATS DIFFERENT(LIKE TRAVIS SCOTT ALLEGEDLY FOR KANYE & COUNTLESS OTHER EXAMPLES), BUT SHARIN BARS – THATS SOME LEFT TWIX SHIT – I KNOW DRAKE GOT BARS – BUT THIS HURTS HIS SPRITE CAN – HE CANT STAND NEXT TO THOSE GUYS AFTER DOIN THAT – THATS JUST NASTY – TRY 2 TELL ME DIFFERENT I WON’T EVEN OPEN UP THE PACKAGE – “SAMPLE QM”

    1. Kip says:

Looks like Drake joined QM at the bakery in an attempt to stack BREAD.

      1. bronxbillyunz says:

I THINK THAT DRAKE IS EMO & WHEN ITS TIME TO WRITE SOME HARD SHIT – IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE SURE HE DIDNT SOUND SOFT – HE WENT LEFT – I DON’T KNOW THE MAN… HE TOURIN, HE GOT OBLIGATIONS, HE BUSY – HE MIGHTA BEEN IN HIS R&B QUINCY JONES BAG & SAID – FUCK IT – IMA USE THIS QM VERSE & A SCRAP VERSE & TURN THIS SHIT IN TO SLIM TO MEET THIS DEADLINE- IDK- IF THIS WAS NAS OR HOV OR ANYTHING BEFORE THAT – NIGGAS WOULD BE IN THE STREET LIKE BLACK LIVES MATTER LOOKIN FOR THEM…. – ITS A DIFFERENT TIME – HE EATIN- BUT LEGACY?

        1. Dark Matters says:

Any chance at legacy is dashed in the water.

    2. SapToad says:

Did you read what he wrote tho he stated the work was already done already before he got there but Q might give his input and what not but didn’t write his shit.

      1. bronxbillyunz says:

LOL… READ ..LOL – I READ BTWN THE LINES – I’M MAKIN COMMENTS BASED ON EVIDENCE – REFERENCE TRACK, WRITERS CREDIT ON THE LINER NOTES, 40 TRYIN TO MAKE IT SOUND LIKE THIS SHIT IS SUPPOSED 2 BE ACCEPTABLE (GHOSTWRITING VERSES) – (NOT IN HIP HOP & I REJECT ANY OTHER ARGUEMENT) – BUT HEY I’M NOT IN DENIAL- IT IS WHAT IT IS.. DRAKE IS DOPE – BUT HE SUPER FLAUGIN – IYRTITL

      2. Dark Matters says:

Yet, up pops a reference track that he did, though “the work was already done already before he got there”. Miss me with the BS excuses.

    3. diggz says:

He said the project was mostly done when he got on. We don’t have any history about this damn reference track realy.

      1. bronxbillyunz says:

WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT HE DIDN’T SPIT THAT VERSE AFTER HE LEARNED IT FROM DRAKE – IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND

    4. majormar says:

Styles p writes for Jada sometimes. That’s why they back n forth go so perfect. One writer WiTH input from the other. It’s no Big deal its a creative process.

      1. bronxbillyunz says:

THATS FACTS ABOUT STYLES & JADA -& THATS A LAME ASS EXAMPLE CUZ U KNOW THIS AINT THAT -BUT, I MEAN IF U OK W/ NIGGAS SAYIN THEY LYRICAL OR THE THRONE IS FOR THE TAKING & THEY GOT GHOSTWRITERS GOIN IN – BON APPETTIT- I KNOW DRAKE IS LYRICAL , BUT I AIN’T FOR THE FUCK SHIT – SHIT IS HOT UP IN THE 6 RIGHT NOW BOY..-

      2. IG: DJVANWYCK says:

        Fuck outta here #show&prove

    5. Dark Matters says:

We will have none of that.

    6. ShatteredWorld says:

Apparently you missed what he said about the work being DONE and apparently freestyling Madonna. No.

What more than likely happened is Drake had a ROUGH of 10 Bands, didn’t know how to approach the song flow wise (or one or two lines were out of place) and then had Q. Miller go in and rap a few lines in substitute.

Just because we have a reference does NOT automatically mean that Q. Miller wrote the ENTIRE FIRST VERSE OF 10 BANDS. And seeing that Miller said that Drake not only freestyled Madonna and made 6PM in NY by himself, I’d have to wonder why Drake would just let someone he only met recently do an entire verse. That’s asinine.

      1. bronxbillyunz says:

THIS IS DRAKES 4TH ALBUM – I KNOW HE CAN RAP – & HE’S GOOD… BUT IF U CAN EXPLAIN THIS SHIT TO URSELF IN THE MIRROR WIT A STR8 FACE – U’S A STAN ASS NIGGA… NO DISRESPECT THO.. NO DISRESPECT

        1. ShatteredWorld says:

Or you just an ignorant ass nigga who has no real comprehension of how the music world or its nuances work

          1. tututhebadboy says:

You’re not necessarily right tho.. thats just an idea of how things could have gone. Its still very possible that ANY other ideas of whats really going on are just as true & logical as what ur saying here. I dnt get why anybody who disagrees has to be ignorant. Its not like these niggas is tweeting under oath or something.

    7. Eric Davis says:

Even though the exact nigga said he didn’t ghostwrite your after thought is still the same? Lmaoo that’s a bitch

  25. polopolo1 says:

ARE You Guys Seriously THAT Easy????
If Only being not guilty of Murder was just as easy as saying ” I Didnt do it”

He Said all this but never explained why theres a recording of him spitting “10 Bands” Bar For Bar, address that with something that holds water and we can call meek mill a liar.

Like seriously im reading comments with people saying shit like “I knew drake wouldnt trick us”

Yall seriously didnt expect this type of damage control? No wonder why they dont really let us vote for presidents.

    1. T says:

Meek Mill would have been more respected if he would have first told the world that Louie V Gutta wrote records on Dreams and Nightmares, Meek Mill would have been taken more serious if he told the the world Nicki has help writing her shit too… Instead the nigga tried to expose Drake with a reference track lol…. And by the way all artist have had reference tracks even Jay Z and worked with song writers

      1. eastpointvet says:

all artist don’t have reference tracks spitting verses bar for bar. if you have a reference track its either because you didn’t write it or they referencing it for somebody to do the hook. or sometimes i seen producers do it for the cadence of the song but not actual lyrics. For somebody like Drake who is considered one of the greats of this era its a chink in his armor now. Kendrick even spoke about this on his album so its a real thing. He won’t be looked at the same from now on

      2. Dark Matters says:

GTFOH Jay Z has reference tracks for HIS lyrics, since when? Get the hell on with these lies trying to cover Drake. You stans have no damn dignity.

    2. Dark Matters says:

People already don’t want to believe that Drake would do that because they have built an emotional attachment to him, in the same way people didn’t want to believe the government was in on 9/11. There is an emotional attachment that causes people to decide to disregard reality.

  26. aight cool but why didnt 40 deny the ghostwriting…

  27. FACTS!!! says:

Drake gave QM his CREDITS on the BACK OF THE FUCKING ALBUM!!! What’s GHOST about that?!!! He let the WORLD KNOW QM HELP!!! So it’s not a GHOST WRITER!!! It’s called CO-WRITERS!!!

    1. Pill_Cosby? says:

Except that other song, he got credit for 6 songs on IYRTITL but Flex played 2 songs for people, only 10 bands was released to the public, he wrote on 7 songs hence ghost written for the other song.

  28. Dsunn says:

You never suppose to expose the ghost.unwriitten unspoken rule

  29. freakyboul says:

    darnit!!

  30. freakyboul says:

get him the fuck out of here!!!

  31. freakyboul says:

    chung boul ! ! ! ! !

  32. freakyboul says:

chung boul asss drake got groupie world all day err day, suck his dick more because your life sucks

  33. ok says:

I really don’t care who writes for who.. I would have given Meek credit if he actually called Drake out on a “track or freestyle”. That twitter way is just too lame for a supposed “street rapper”. Leave twitter for Nicki and Taylor Swift

    1. Dark Matters says:

That’s why hip hop is getting less and less diverse and more and more watered down. You fans just have no standards whatsoever.

  34. freakyboul says:

    papi chulo gon’ snatch

  35. Kip says:

This reminds me of the time Jay electronica was “misquoted” by saying “he wrote for Nas’. When i heard that, I felt like my years on this planet was an entire fabrication — a fucking lie. Then I saw Nas face the music at a radio station when asked: “do you have any ghostwriters?” Nas flat out; without hesitation, debunked all of the speculations. Then, i saw a video where EL-P and Killer Mike were being interviewed about the possibility of another project. The topic of Nas came up, and Nas was in attendance and played that Jay Dilla track, THE SEASON. In a few lines Nas reminds individuals of his greatness, and to never question his pen:

“Jay Elec doesn’t write it, HOV couldn’t write it, he vacationin’
Jungle the only brother I take shit from from
Hassan give me lines, we talk all the time
So I guess if he inspired my song it ain’t mine
Let me make this clear, they fear the gifted
    Some say Shakespeare never existed
Wow, now, look at the amount of resistance
Attempts to chisel my face, from the mountain you guessed it
    Bitch you guessed it
There, did I answer your questions?
So, now that’s out the way let’s get back to my message.”

I feel like Drake should combat these rumors the same way Nas has. Nas should be a spokesman for this type of shit. I mean, why would Nas have a ghostwriter, if he himself has ghostwritten for Pop artists like Will Smith? There is simply no logic to it, especially if you risk damaging your legacy.

    1. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

    2. eastpointvet says:

you can’t question leaked reference tracks its more than speculation this time.

  36. Lord Splashchild says:

    Meek.

    You lose.

  37. SapToad says:

Well I guess I was wrong.LMAO It was Good for Q to do this he didn’t have to at all. I can’t believe I would think Drake need help with his lyrics to begin with.SMH

    Drake > Meek

  38. Meek Milli Vanilli says:

It’s funny Meek would call out anyone for not writing their own raps when we all Rick Ross doesn’t write all of his.

The Triple Cs guys such Torch write some of Ross’ lyrics.

  39. Home Of Philly says:

The crazy thing is that Meek just burnt a bridge with the biggest in the game and just like our pass Philly Hoodstars (Beanie, Young Gunz, Peedi Crack, Freeway, Major Figgaz, and the list goes on) Meek will fade out within 5 years because he is too ignorant to try to build a network of marquee artist to help facilitate his longevity.

How do you think Puff (Biggie, then Rick Ross), Dre (Eminem then 50 then Kendrick), Jay-z (Kanye then Rihanna then J. Cole) and Wayne (Hot boys then Drake/Nikki) were able to stay around for so long? They put that work in and built that brand AS WELL AS the network.

    1. Dark Matters says:

Meek just made himself friends with folks who are happy he exposed the fraudulence.

      1. Home Of Philly says:

But he’s signed to Rick Ross who portrays his self as a drug lord yet he was the person making sure the actual drug lords were kept in line while incarcerated… U don’t make any sense.

        1. Dark Matters says:

That statement just shows how little you understand about illegal business.

          1. jusz21 says:

Rick Ross took the identity of a person who is actually named Rick Ross lol. Dude’s real name is William Robert.. real original and he lied initially about being a CO

          2. Dark Matters says:

So what? Did it occur to you that he denied because simpletons like yourself would make assumptions about his street cred?

  46. Runforit says:

He does not right for drake he helped with the some parts but people do that in the studio bouncing ideas around and he was giving credit

    1. Dark Matters says:

Runforit reporting live from Drake’s ball sack where he remains in permanent residence.

      1. Runforit says:

No need for disrespect I would say that about any rapper if the same thing happened to them . I’ve seen people take hooks and parts of bars that they didn’t write and give people credit for it too. It’s only a ghostwriter if he wasn’t given credit

  47. ilexx says:

Ok, great Drake took you from nothing to being a credited writer on his album. Cool.

The important shit is in the details…

“…I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together ..”

And I ain’t asking him to take credit for any shit he didn’t do… All I need to know is if you contributed hooks, flows and verses to all those other songs you were credited on.

Cause ain’t nothing cool about hiring writers to give you a hook, flow and a verse.

  48. OgSnowflake187 says:

Sounds like something drake would write

  49. onenutned says:
