ESPN targets unemployed Black people, which is why they have a strong hip hop feel. They know a lot of us who can’t get jobs are going to be at home during the day and will be watching. That’s why you see them invite a lot of rappers onto their shows.

        1. Dark Matters says:

Do some thinking and/or some research before you run your mouth. Unemployment is highest among young black people. They know a good percentage of us will be at home at a certain watching their shows. They cater the shows to those who are watching them. Before you write more nonsense think and “do your googles”.

Its a few hundred million more white people in america then black people…. I’m sure alot more of them are at home during the day then black people are.

          2. Dark Matters says:

What an idiotic comment. Most white people with reason to be at home during the day aren’t ESPN’s audience. Just analyze the comment factually.

Look at the unemployment rate in both races. Then think to yourself of the white people who are at home (and not working from home), what age would they most likely be? Is that ESPN’s demographic? Likely not.

Of the white people who are unemployed and at home watching tv: do they listen to hip hop? Possibly, but they wouldn’t account for ESPN’s focus on hip hop culture as part of its programming.

          3. marty mcfly says:

First of all, people flip through channels during the day ok. You don’t know how many white watch ESPN but I can tell you that in america its alot of white people. 2nd when you talk about “facts”? Your making assumed estimations. Do you know how many white and black people watch ESPN during the day? NO. If there is a black person watching ESPN during the day, does that mean he’s unemployed? No. why? They have these hours called swing shift and nightshift and they have these things called days off work. You don’t know what hours people work, you don’t know what age and time whoever is watching ESPN is and newsflash when your making a comment that involves an audience that numbers well into the millions… Just assuming that its just unemployed black people is stupid. When the unemployment rate for black youth is discussed, they don’t factor in contracted jobs or jobs such as a black youth painting houses or fixing vehicles or any number of thing as to where somebody would make money on there own accord. Yes the unemployment rate is high for black youth but they gotta eat so they doing something besides watch ESPN fool.

          4. Dark Matters says:

            “Your making assumed estimations”

Go back to my original statement then come to your senses.

          5. marty mcfly says:

Yes you are making assumed “estimations” because if I asked you any specifics about exactly who is watching ESPN by the numbers? You would only have estimations… Realize america has millions of people that watch ESPN and then come to your senses. Yes there are unemployed white people that watch Tv during the day that like Hip Hop… Shit there are white people that have jobs that watch ESPN during the day fool. How many white people have Tv’s in their place of business? These same things could be said about black people…

          6. Dark Matters says:

Man not only are you long winded and annoying, you can’t even read. My opening statement to my original comment was what? “ESPN targets unemployed Black people, which is why they have a strong hip hop feel.”

          7. marty mcfly says:

ESPN targets sports fans and not too mention, you know alot of white people fuck with Hip Hop as well. Nas done sold millions of records, niggas aint the only ones listening or even the majority fool.
