Nicki Minaj On Meek Mill vs. Drake

Over It.

Nicki’s had enough. In a cover story for The New York Times Magazine, Nicki Minaj weighed in on the ongoing feud between her boyfriend Meek Mill and label-mate, Drake.

“They’re men, grown-ass men,’’ she said. ‘‘It’s between them.’’ How does it make you feel, I ask? “I hate it,” she said. ‘‘It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.”

Nah this chick doesn’t love drake but they share a lot of the same fans so she won’t say it and let’s not forget their collabs are some of her best songs
That’s been obvious for a while and if you’re not getting involved maybe don’t go on stage talking about Meek being star stuck then laughing…
If it’s really “between them and that you hate it”

    1. Megamind says:

She might genuinely have love for Drizzy…they came up together AND got money together…so I believer her on that…but there is definitely real truth to what you’re saying as well.

        shit’s all messy

  2. Tec1 says:

Drake ethered Meek Mill. Nothing to discuss

  3. Sonic says:

Drake owns 2015, just like he owned 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. If Drake was putting out albums back in 1995-2000 each one would have gone double diamond by now. He’s hip hop’s all-time great. Never compromised his style. Often imitated but never duplicated. Salute to the 6 God and the whole OVO Sound crew for bringing real hip hop and soul back to the mainstream.

    1. realish says:

Drake don’t own shiit. U mean Quentin miller owns that

    2. The Art of Trolling says:

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topicmessages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion,[3] often for their own amusement.

      1. Sonic says:

According to your definition, you’re a troll. Congratulation.

    3. Iamstillmusic says:

If Drake was in the 1995 era he would have been in the same category as Justin Timberlake, not taken seriously as a real MC

Drake makes good music but he isn’t real hip hop because he doesn’t have a real rap album and will never have one. The only argument that can be made for Drake is that he sells a lot of records.

It’s difficult reasoning with trolls like you because we know that you’re trolling so it’s there’s no point trying to reason with you. Get a life bruh

      1. Sonic says:

Supporting my favorite artist is trolling now? Everything is “trolling” now. Now that we slap the word “trolling” on anything that annoys us, the word may have lost all meaning. Drakes makes better music than Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. Get a life.

        1. Faceless Hustlers says:

Drake won’t be here in 10 years asslicker Kendrick and Cole will!

        2. Iamstillmusic says:

No you troll becaus every comment you make on this website is completely absurd and exaggerated. Everyone knows you’re a joke who doesn’t have a life behind this screen. You’re also a homosexual.

Drake makes good music but he isn’t a better rapper than Kendrick or J Cole and never will be. He’s the only rapper in this new generation who can’t drop a real rap album, he has to sing heartbreak songs to young females to stay relevant.

I have nothing against dude, but Drake fans are like Beyomce fans, completely unreasonable. If Drake is an the time great than Kendrick is the best rapper ever.

          1. Sonic says:

“Absurd and exaggerated” to you, because you can’t accept the truth. Drake had the top hip hop selling albums of 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2015. Every time Drake kills the sales, every time Drake makes Kendrick more and more irrelevant. The 6 God wins again.

          2. Iamstillmusic says:

Dumbsss did you read my first comment? The only argument any Draje fan will ever make is album sales which doesn’t mean shit when Mackelmore sold a million copies too.

Is Mackelmore a better rapper than Kendrick? You don’t even know how to stan, the criteria for the best rapper has never been who sells the most records, it’s who paints the best and Drake doesn’t have a rap album! So how does an Rnb like Drake even be considered among the best ever? Weirdo

          3. The Jack of Spades ♠ says:

Bruh, I agree with alot of your points but you sound like you’re just fucking with dude just to fuck with him. I’m over here dying reading these comments.

          4. Iamstillmusic says:

He’s a gay ass nigga bruh, he gets on my nerves. His trolling never ends

        3. Guest says:

“Best album of the year, I don’t care what anybody says. People always hate on Fetty, talking about he can’t rap and stuff, but in all honesty he got 4 top hit singles on the Billboard charts. Even the white people love him lol. Either way he’s winning. I love Fetty Wap, because he’s ok with who he is and very hard working and really humbled.”

          _____________________________________________

This is what he’s talking about! Who in the fuck posts comments like this if they’re not a troll? Take a permanent vacation

          1. Sonic says:

            You’ve lost your mind.

      2. GetReal says:

honestly this argument is getting so old fam hang it up i aint saying dude is a goat but he definitely proved himself as a rapper

        1. Iamstillmusic says:

He hasn’t proven that he can drop a straight rap album that’s s classic. Until then I don’t put him up there with the greatest

          1. Sterling Sims says:

There are a lot of really good rappers that never dropped a classic album tho

          2. Iamstillmusic says:

None of them have been considered one of the best rappers alive

          3. Cemal says:

the ‘straight rap album’ argument is so fucking lame. for fucks sake, there are barely any rappers that drop straight rap albums, the only difference is that drake doesnt get anyone else to sing his hooks, but does it himself. rap wise he kills most rappers out there, so fuck off with this bullshit. so what if he has one corny sing-along rnb song on each album? that doesnt drop the quality of all his other songs.

          4. Iamstillmusic says:

Nah the fact remains that if you want to be like the greatest rappers of all time your projects have to match theirs. Drake keeps getting on records and talking like he’s the new Jay Z when he doesn’t have an album like the blueprint, graduation, GKMC, illmstic, doggystyle, ready to die, none of that.

I’m not saying he has to, but if you want to your name to go up there with Nas, you don’t get that by dropping Take Care which is the closest thing Drake has to a classic. You do it with albums like Late Registration, that proves your an MC. Not singing rnb songs

      3. Guest says:

        This guy gets it! #Facts

      4. Grand Daddy says:

What is your opinion of “real rap”? The fact that the genre is changing and hŕas been doing so since the 80’s is undeniable. Drake represents the new school and has been leading it for a minute. Dont forget that the rap game was in a bad shape right before his entering and even if he didnt bring it back himself he surley played a part and have paved the way for a lot of young talant we see today. One can argue that he is not the goat yet but he is absolutly getting up there with the Jays and Ems, at least in my opinion.

The rnb songs on his albums doesnt outshine the rapping and I would support your opinion if he had only realesed one album but at this point the boy has more than a double CD of straight rap songs in his catalogue. I believe he has proven himself as a MC troughout the years.

He has a very specific way of writing because of the way he can describe situations by pointing out specific details that makes it vivid and he got straight BARS!

        1. Iamstillmusic says:

It’s just going to be hard to put Drake up there with Hov, or Em when they ran the game with straight rapping. It’s undeniable that Drake wouldn’t run the game without singing his Rnb songs to stay relevant.

I just want him to drop the rap classic that’s going to shut me up. I need his blueprint or mmlp. Then he can talk his shit

          1. DAMN RIGHT! says:

They won’t never understand, they think you’re hating when u spoke nothing but the truth.

          2. Iamstillmusic says:

I’m glad there are still some real ones out there. Drake has male groupies like Beyoncé fans so when you say anything against they attack you like the beyhive. I like Drakes music but I care way more about the state of hip hop and the culture than his career

          3. dubDIRTAY says:

I agree I am glad there are not just drake fanboys callin us haters, personally I don’t fuck with his music but he has hits but in no way shape or form is a he “goat” JAYZ GOT CLASSICS and that’s just one…

        2. marty mcfly says:

Drake only changed the game for himself and maybe J Cole because their the only two rappers that get their records added on R&B and Pop charts separate from Rap. Nobody else really is following behind Drake because they can’t as long as their music is classified as rap only. Drake and his ghostwriters got bars but Drake is in a lane by himself because his music is in three different genre’s which is Hip Hop, R&B and Pop. The only other rapper crossing over that hard is J Cole. Kendrick aint getting too much love on strictly R&B and Pop platforms but Drake does. Drake changed the game but really only for himself, the genre of rap is still what its been, rap.

          1. Grand Daddy says:

I doubt he will surpass the greats as well, but he will be in the conversation if he keeps going like he has the past 5 years.

I think Em is the goat thechnacly when it comes to rapping but Jay has had the best career and the influence he has had is critical for the culture.

But you guys discredit Drake a bit because he is a good vocalist and his corny persona, even if its subconciensly. Drake did change the game because he was the first one to bring vocals together with rapping and actually paved the way for guys like childish gambino, kid cudi, b.o.b. etc. Even if he didnt do it alone he did play a part.

And the genre of rap is not what it has always has been. It is always evolving because of rappers like kanye and drake, to only mention two. Remember the time when dudes used to hate on kanyes pink sweater and backpack and today he is talked about as a great?

          2. marty mcfly says:

I didn’t discredit Drake but what I’m saying is imo Drake didn’t change the genre of rap just because his personal style is different. From what I remember Kid Cudi and B.O.B were already singing before Drake came out but that didn’t change rap. Rap is still rap, adding singing aint gonna be enough cause thats been here since the 80s. As far as Kanye and what he was wearing back then? He actually copied a bunch of other people and then took credit for it imo. I think Cam’ron set off the pink shit and there was a whole season when niggas in the street were wearing shit with pick accents like the year before Kanye was. As far as backpacks, polo’s and shit, that shit was hot for years in the street before Kanye came along. Don’t get me wrong, I know what you saying in terms of Drake but overall, you aint gonna see too many rappers going to far into singing just because Drake did.

          3. CASH says:

Actually Mos Def paved the way for rapping and singing…it baffles me why Drake keeps getting credit for something he did not pioneer

          4. BIGGER Fishes 2 Cook says:

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Ja Rule was rapping and singing before Mos Def did. Pac also sung occasionally. 50 Cent rap and sang his hooks. Lauryn Hill does both brilliantly. Way back in the days Whodini did it too.
And that’s not to discredit Drake’s ability to do both rapping and singing.

          5. The Jack of Spades ♠ says:

The reason he gets credit is because he’s successful at at and Mos Def isn’t (relatively.) Numbers don’t lie G.

      5. Justwins says:

would The MisEducation Of Lauren Hill be considered a rap album?

        1. Iamstillmusic says:

No it won the Grammy for best Rnb album

      6. Daniel Noel says:

I want to debate that, what is “a real rap album”? I think Drake would have been as succesful in any era, because he makes QUALITY music and doesn’t lie about who he is. Yes, he’ll never be a Pac, or Hov or even Ja Rule, but he doesn’t need to be. He’s honest to himself and to the music and I think that’s why he’s succesful. Plus, he’s a SKILLED MC. Dude can really rap.

        1. Iamstillmusic says:

No one is saying he can’t really rap or that he isn’t skilled. I’m saying he isn’t a real MC and if he wants to be remembered like they were then he has to drop that rap album that can prove it. Take care was rnb but I loved it. He just needs an album like the Blueprint or graduation

    4. you really are dickrider of the decade. ive never seen someone ride so hard for another man before your in every single post real quick

Dickrider? Says the nigga with a Kendrick avi. Lol.

    5. 05 says:

Ifs don’t mean shit bro. You’re basically saying had drake been born 10 years earlier. Which is pretty foolish considering without the Wayne cosign when Wayne was at the top there probably wouldn’t be much of a drake. On top of that 95 to 00 was owned by a few legendary rappers. And if I have to say them then you pretty much prove how little you know about anything let alone hip hop

      3. BIGGER Fishes 2 Cook says:

He brought a (table) knife to a gunfight. He should’ve consulted with Ross beforehand. There’s so much that Meek could’ve done and said to do a proper battle/beef song.
Honestly, though Meek shouldn’t have started this in the first place. Drake is an MMG affiliate, he’s done hits with Meek (Amen, R.I.C.O), Wale, and Ross. The whole thing was a dumb move. That’s coming from an MMG fan.

        1. marty mcfly says:

You call it I knife, i’d say its proof that Meek didn’t just say some bullshit. He had the reference tracks to back it up. Drake’s lil raps was cool, I enjoyed them but the fact we all know now Drake is just copying shit that other people write for him is gonna be known forever. The proof was presented. Meek putting his life in the music and its coming from his brain. Drake I guess is rapping his life as well as other niggas too. #Fraud shit

          1. ShatteredWorld says:

You have no real idea what you’re talking about.

Ghostwriting =/= co-writing. French Montana even says that Meek does near the exact same thing, so what’s really the problem here?

          2. marty mcfly says:

I do have an idea what I’m talking about. The references tracks is online and Drake copied them shits damn near verbatim word for word. If French said the same thing about Meek, ok but he aint release no proof. Meek did.

          3. ShatteredWorld says:

Again, co-writing is not equivalent to ghostwriting. You’re making it seem like Drake hasn’t written thematically deep and emotionally connecting songs before. The only songs Quentin is credited on are songs with no real substance at all

          4. marty mcfly says:

Drake copied each word QM said almost verbatim. Thats a bit more then co-writing, thats just get your bars ghostwritten for you. It doesn’t matter if those bars had substance or not. Drake didn’t write them and nobody knows would Drake has and hasn’t written now that trick behind the magician has been exposed.

          5. breezy says:

” I don’t care if game’s real, i’m just here for the music” fuckin faget!!! go work for fox news!!!

          6. marty mcfly says:

Pussy tell your mother to wipe her mouth lil bitch. I don’t care if Game is “real”, not at all but you? You still hurt and acting all emo like the fukboy pussy you are. Bitchass homotroll.

          7. breezy says:

the truth hurts don’t it!!! you’ve been exposed faget!!! now quietly disappear back in to your father’s pussy!!!

          8. marty mcfly says:

I never seen anybody make as many comments actually talking about gay shit as you. The only thing exposed is that your mentality is that of a homosexual. Bitch

          9. breezy says:

marty hates drake/ cuz he has a crush/ I bet wit ya face/ you wanna grab his nuts!!!

          10. marty mcfly says:

Homotroll stfu, you even rap with a faggot mentality. Smh

          11. breezy says:

marty drake’s winning/ you wish you had his spot/ but you hate women/ cuz you’re a faget thot!!!

          12. marty mcfly says:

            Faggot ass internet Young Thugs!!!

          13. ShatteredWorld says:

That makes no sense. We know that Drake writes his own music. QM has attested to Drake writing a lot of his own music. 40 has said that Drake writes a lot of his own music. Cole, Jay, a LOT of people in the game have attested to this, as well as people actually getting songs written BY DRAKE.

No, it’s not “ghostwriting” in the least. For one, the fact that QM was a co-writer on the songs was completely out in the open from the very beginning. Secondly, the bars are just that — bars. They’re not whole verses or complete song structures. So to assume that Drake is getting handed verses is completely rubbish.

          14. marty mcfly says:

We don’t know what Drake writes and doesn’t write but we do know he uses a ghostwriter or ghostwriterS… Show me where somebody else wrote Jay’s entire verse as a reference and Jay copied it almost word for word cause thats what we’re talking about here. If somebody copies another persons pre written words, that is “ghostwriting”. If you say bars that somebody else wrote? Then you are saying “ghostwritten” bars. What I’m saying is not rubbish because the reference tracks are online for you to hear yourself. I didn’t assume Drake uses a ghostwriter, I listened to the reference tracks with QM rapping and then heard Drake saying almost the exact same rhymes. So I made no assumptions about the subject at hand.

          15. breezy says:

            you’re still a faget!!!

          16. marty mcfly says:

Bitch you been trolling for weeks and talking like a homo but as far as coming at me? You only tough on the internet and you know it pussy. You like an emotional bitch that got her feelings hurt and now is trolling for weeks cause she mad. Youz a bitch

Drake won this beef big time. Meek is reaching. His obvious jealousy is killing his momentum before it even gets started. He’s losing fans and locking doors before they’re opened over an alleged ghost-writer? Nicki doesn’t write all of her stuff. Everybody gets help. He’s killing himself!

  11. Joni says:

Drake is in a Kanye west type category ..there won’t ever be someone like him ..as popular as him that can rap very well and make great rnb songs ..he’s one of the best artist this industry has seen in a long time ..it’s called versatility ..everyone like to bring up Kendrick in drake post but he can only give us one type of music .i enjoy but it burns out quick ..drakes work ethic is 100x string then Kebdricjs

    1. Iamstillmusic says:

Nah I disagree with that. Concept for concept, bar for bar, Kendrick is te better artist. Kendrick is ding it exactly the way Nas did it, classic rap albums. Drake is a singer who raps in reality because he can never drop a real rap album, nor would he have a career without singing. I love his music, but I love hip hop more

  12. Kris Kompute says:

    Staged ass beef.

    1. Skeem1 says:

SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THAT !!!!

Sooooo…. Meek Mill just voluntarily put his career in a bad situation for nothing!? What did he gain if this beef was staged??? Ppl are still clowning meek till this day!!! Also calling somebody out for not writing there own music N hiphop is a legitimate reason to start a beef.

      1. Kris Kompute says:

You’re a bit too emotionally invested in some niggas who don’t know you exist. They made that beef for you. Loser ass Stan sheep.

        1. Skeem1 says:

Shut up conspiracy theorist ass nigga foh!

          1. Kris Kompute says:

Type in Meek Mill’s name on Google. Was the first thing that pops up beside it? One of the biggest pop artist in the world… “Drake”

They had white castle, whataburger and IHOP tweeting about the beef. ESPN stays name dropping Meek Mill every night now. He didn’t release a true response.

This isn’t a conspiracy theory. This is business. Marketing. PR. Drake/Meek was the biggest pop culture story of the summer. The shit was on NBC News for Christ’s sake.

            Wake the fuck up.

    2. GetReal says:

you really an idiot if you think meek staged his own career suicide, like legit fucking retarded, stop thinking so hard conspiracy theorist ass nigga, meek had a bit of ammunition and went in with no strategy thats all fam

      1. Kris Kompute says:

Career suicide? You mfs have no idea about the music business at all.

Meek has been on the mount of every legitimate celebrity gossiper for the past 2 months. People that never listened to his music, streamed his shit because of the Drake beef.

No strategy? Who starts a fight and doesn’t hit back? Someone who is getting paid not to punch. Ala all of Mike Tyson’s opponents in the 80’s.

You mfs wanna be rappers/celebrities/stars/in the “in” crowd so bad that you believe any and everything. There is tens of millions of dollars that go into marketing an artist. And they’ll market by any means necessary.

Seriously, go read a book. Your ignorance is going to keep you trapped.

        1. GetReal says:

i feel you i exaggerated a bit i know his career isn’t DONE DONE, but be real the entire social media continues to ridicule him til this day people who are actually fans say they feel awkward playing his music, like come on YOUR OWN FANS FEEL AWKWARD, like meek mill would have to come with legit heat to get back on his feet, and none of his little IG snippets lead me to believe that, he simply fucked up, it will never be the same for this dude, stop being in denial fam, who the fuck wants such negative attention like that, this would have never happened to a cole or kendrick because they are way better rappers, the level meek is at a diss from drake will seriously hinder him for the rest of his life

          1. Kris Kompute says:

Social Media clowns everyone all day everyday. Who give a fuck?

Dude got mainstream attention which is what he wanted. If he really had a problem, he would’ve shot back. He comes from the battle rap game for Christ sake.

Shit was a publicity stunt. And it worked. Kudos to both sides.

  13. Eric Davis says:

So in other words. She hates picking up the pieces and tears of meek

  14. Marko V says:

If Meek woulda did this in the late 90s we would still be patiently waiting for his reply. Actually releasing the reference tracks would have been a good enough reply until his album dropped OR he did a feature and addressed it there. The Internet has ruined our entire sense of rapper beef. In today’s climate Ether woulda been too late and Jay Z would have clearly won. I’m more concerned that Nicki chose to say she loves Drake instead of sayin no comment or talk to Meek or even sayin she riding with her man regardless. Smh relationship goals huh y’all?!

    1. Jimmy says:
