New Music: Jon Connor x Keke Palmer “Fresh Water For Flint”

Report This

In the midst of the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, Jon Connor addresses the ongoing issue that is plaguing his city on this PSA featuring Keke Palmer. There’s two sides to every story. Here’s what he tells XXL:

“The song is basically about the situation going on that nobody sees. I lived in Flint up until two, three years ago, so being in California and seeing the way it’s being portrayed on the news, seeing the deterioration of my city, its all that frustration and emotion. I feel like I’m the voice of Flint, so I’m just trying to verbalize how all the natives feel.

I’m just trying to make all the dots connect of people I know in the industry who’ve reached out to me. Kelly Price has reached out. I was talking to Michael Moore and he said he was interested in doing a benefit concert so we’ll see. I think we’re just trying to figure out how we can put all of our resources together for this one cause and one goal.”

When I saw the draft of 5935 dollars, I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his PC. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 11 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .

Clearly, political hubris to blame. More than one incident too. Was Detroit approached with the economic justification for switching? If not, why not?
If so, what was the response? If it wasn’t lowering Flint’s cost, why not?
This is just the pre-incident economic analysis, the reactions after the switch is a different kettle of fish.

lol listen spark I’m glad that this truth of government greed and their blatant disregard for its citizens finally came out.

Hey idiota…. a city with depleted funds like Flint cannot afford a referendum or debate on such issues. Instead, city officials are to use common sense and careful planning when addressing the underlying problems. It appears these crackers haphazardly made decisions to address symptoms rather than root causes…. Hence the fucking fiasco.

Again, this is a result of institutionalized racism and lack of consideration for black lives…

P.S We don’t believe you, we’ve witnessed multiple instances of your idiocy to trust those words and thoughts are your own.
