Lupe Fiasco’s sixth album, DROGAS is on the way. Although there is not release date set yet, he has unveiled its mysterious cover. SKULLS, ROY and The Cool 2 also on the way.

It was solid. But personally I held Lupe up to such high standards after the Cool that I can’t be satisfied until he either follows it up or puts out something more classic. Idunno… his allure has died down with me. Especially after Kendrick has dominated the scene.
As for the cover… I’m pretty sure it’s a game of thrones reference.
Maybe Lupe doesn’t want allure or to dominate anything, maybe he just wants to make music and leave it at that. Tetsuo & Youth was quiet the follow up imo.
But just last year he was talking smack and trying to battle tho? (Lemme know if i’m wrong). To me it’s more about him wanting to trump himself. As a listener the lest that I should want is for your music to become better over time. Whether it’s different or not. Ya kno?
Yeah but nobody wanted to battle him. He’s been like that for years. In his rhymes he implies numerous times that he wishes somebody would try him lyrically and nobody does. Them SLR songs (1,2 and 3) were for any MCs that wanna go… I don’t if Lupe wants to trump himself or if he just wants to make dope music. I get what your saying but he may personally feel like he’s already topped The Cool even if other people feel differently.
