’13 Most Underrated Albums #2: Lil Wayne I Am Not A Human Being 2

Greetings Earthlings.

Since entering the game at 9, Lil Wayne has become one of hip-hop’s most prolific artists. And last March, he extended his catalogue with his overlooked tenth solo album, I Am Not A Human Being 2.

Three years ago, the album’s predecessor scored the bronze medal on our Most Disappointing list. But it seems like Wayne has learned from his mistakes. And on this go-round, he trims the fat and delivers slices of his mixtape Weezy persona.

He preserves Dedication 4 gem “No Worries” and compounds it with standouts like, “Rich As Fuck,” “IANAHB,” and “Trippy.” On the latter, he spews, “She gets dick, weed, and ignored/ That’s a D.W.I. nigga.” Funny guy. He reaches his apex though, on the Drake and Future-assisted, “Love Me”—a crude number highlighting Weezy’s favorite things: Kush marijuana, alcohol, and pussy, pussy, pussy.

I Am Not A Human Being 2 isn’t without missteps (“Wowers”), but when it comes to skill set, Cash Money’s resident Martian is still out of this world.—B.Dot

    1. YouGonEatYourCornbread says:

i agree that shit was dry ashy asscheeks the opening bars to this album was “im in the crib butt naked bitch she said my dick could be the next black president” ermmmm ok – _ –

  2. Mo says:

Nah didn’t like this album. Ever since that Rebirth album Wayne releases have been going down in quality IMO. Some enjoyable songs on here but nah

    1. Pablo says:

The album wasnt he’s greatest work but every song lyrically was good.. The metaphors and punch lines was on point .. And numbers don’t lie. RAF & love me sold big.. People are gonna hate wayne but he still one of the GOAT and the album is underrated .. The people who hatin on it .. They ain’t listened to it.. If they have not fully

  3. Chronic says:

And of course it’s b.dot who puts up the first album that doesn’t belong on this list

  4. Musikal says:

    Yeah this album was ass

  5. Chronic says:

And you already put up the #4 album…this should be #2…

  6. Dashing28 says:

What the fuck are you talking about? This album is terrible. Even hardcore Wayne fans know it and defend it by saying “Well it’s not a Carter album. That’s why.” How is this underrated? Because everyone said it was terrible and on 3rd and 4th listen it’s slightly less bad than you thought?

I was sure this was going to be a lock on #1 for most disappointing albums.

This has not made 1 single list for top albums of the year. Not even top 50 albums of the year. The best that can be said about it is that people don’t remember it. That’s Lil Wayne’s BEST case scenario, that people do not remember this album and we pretend it didn’t happen…like MJ on the Wizards.

  7. Brian says:

Album was wack but RR only do mainstream so they probably couldn’t think of anything else

  8. Donn says:

Yea Wayne lost me as a fan for a couple albums but I’m not gon lie this album he was going HAM. I think ppl who don’t like Wayne will never like him, no matter what he does so they are biased when listening to a Wayne album. But if you just listen on unbias shit u can give him his props with this album.

    1. Dashing28 says:

Respectfully disagree. All 3 Carter albums are good as are a lot of his mixtapes and even Like Father Like son was solid. This album had some decent singles but the rest was pretty wack. And Wayne got outshined on every single track.

      1. OKKK says:

wayne’s been getting outshined on features since Forever dropped.

  9. Myke Wayne says:

My Homies Still is my shit.

  10. deadross says:

come on now this album had bangers! the IANAHB are experimental albums AND da carter series are vintage well rounded artist wayne songs if you havent figured that out yet, well then move on. all i know is “rich as fuck” was a party banger, “no worries” was a party banger, love me was a party banger, that gunwalk is a wanger too. lets not act like this album wasn’t no where to be found

    1. OKKK says:

3 of those so called “bangers” were also singles. Take those away, (since they are usually the selling points.) and this album is not only feature heavy, but forgettable.

Cudi’s album is more underrated than this, WOLF, Doris, Prisoner of Conscious, Long Live ASAP, Street Immortal all better and far more overrated than an album by lil wayne.

look at his place in the game, just because a trash album had some dope tracks, key word is some, doesnt mean it gets a pass.

      Word to Yeezus.

      1. deadross says:

curtains, trigger finger, trippy R also sick. it isnt his best album, it was on point to me tho… this list is for people who had a big commercial buzz…plus wolf, doris, prisoner of conscious DONT have selling points at all, it stays one temple so that falls flat to me
a ideal commercial rap classic to me now a days is something like blueprint, chronic 2001, urban legend. those albums have lyrical songS, club songS, street anthemS,serious songS, chick song etc the only album thats you listed off that has that is long live asap. my point is IANAHB is closer to having those attributes then the ones you listed off.

  11. Louiev says:

    Wayne is garbage. Underrated? Lmao.

  12. Jay says:

Album had some bangers. curtains and back to you was one of waynes best

    1. YouGonEatYourCornbread says:

      lol stone cold my nigga

  13. LP1087 says:

Miss me……when i’m gone. Pretty much all his albums are subpar…….and if you think Carter III is a classic then you reeeeaallleeee don’t kno what legendary content is. Got like 8 of the same songs on it. The ongoing rants will continue, shortly, you wait

  14. Hannibal Lecture says:

This is good album it was better than the last 2 carters. Lyrically Wayne showed up.

  15. Ralph says:

I forgot Wayne dropped an album last year

    1. nastynas says:

      EXACTLY.

I still hear the singles that came off this, (only on satellite radio tho) but this album was F O R G E T T A B L Y sad.

  16. The Truth says:

    B. Dot, B.Dot, B.Dot…..Do you even listen to music? I actually agree with SOME valid points and arguments but this is complete shit and coming from a wayne fan I know and we all know it. This album is clearly top 3 DISAPPOINTING of the year. Get your shit together. Yeah a few okay punchlines and metaphors but never once had a topic he could stay on, let alone even make sense with the shit he rapped about. ASS ALBUM

  17. IG: claytondadon says:

that one was crazy…. a masterpiece

    1. YouGonEatYourCornbread says:

      lmao

  18. Epul says:

Wait the first one wasn’t good… How is it disappointing?

  19. Rumando says:

There is nothing underrated about Wayne’s music. Ppl are waking up to the pop beats and wack rhymes about sex, money and drugs. Wayne is not even top 100 rappers of all time and he hasn’t dropped a good album/mixtape in years. Glad to see fans are rejecting him now

    1. guest says:

Wayne is definitely in the top 100 rappers of all time, your trippin hard, he’s no Nas, Jay, EM, 2pac, Biggie,. etc., but he’s earned atleast a spot there. Now that shit he’s been coming out with for the last 4 years have been pure dog-shit

  20. Arthur Fonzarelli says:

This was the worst album in music last year! It was a complete disgrace to music.

  21. john blaze says:

somebody need to check bdot resume again………seriously my nigga………………

  22. john blaze says:

yall just lost crazy credibility like wtf…………………..

  23. DesiJatt says:

lol i used to be the biggest wayne fan but ill admit this album is wack as fuck

  24. Sean Power says:

    i forgot this came out

  25. rap real says:

This album was utter shit. WTF shit yall own up there at Rap Radar? Fucking bloggers yo.

  26. Sam Robilotta says:

couple good tracks that’s about it.

  27. Broski 3000 says:

Underated??? I guess, i would say not good at all

  28. John Jay says:

his brain’s fried, toasted and baked…only a couple of ghostwriters will save him…Currensy..Gillie???? seems like Jae Millz is no help and Gudda gudda meh!

  29. This album SPARKED a WORLDWIDE #1 Trending Topic on Twitter of niggas & bitches making FUN of Wayne’s rhymes #RapLikeLilWayne & it’s underrated? LOL STOP IT. At least we know he’s writing his own shit now though.

  30. deadross says:

Ok speaking as a true fan of wayne. This album was ok. But to say wayne is was garbage period? Nah 2005-2008 was pure flames and wayne was king of rap shit. Put it this way if I can’t feel my face duo was wack to you then I already know your one of those hopsin tech 9 weirdo rap fans so u will never understand the street talk wayne be throwin at y’all.

  31. kanye west says:

the only thing unrated about this album is that incredible art direction by donda. b dot the blogger you don’t know music STFU.

  32. Fiyah says:

    Stop. This album was trash.

  33. JADatsyuk says:

Any list with Lil Wayne on it post-2008 doesn’t get respect from me. Not that Wayne was really tolerable in the first place.

  34. mac says:

Underrated. This album is no where near good enough to be coined “underrated”. This album was put together by a shit for brain artist called Lil’ wayne. In term of art and music this dude fell off a long time ago in the music radar. He thanked the fact he has good label backing his nonsenses.

  35. nirusxhonda says:

yup the album was not like its former he look like he put couple throwaway tracks on the album part 1 had some real good joints…http://superkicks88.yourlikes.com/

  36. p0is0nedkoola on Twitter says:

When this album came out , I said it will easily be the ALBUM OF THE YEAR & I stand by it.
    Why?
Because this album is everything that hip hop is during this current era of hip hop. While the “new generation” has a lot of great MC’s (KL, Cole etc), I’m speaking on the sound that was biggest in the clubs/streets.
Easily everything that a “Real hip hop head” hates about the current big hits from Hip Hop is on INHB 2.
Every cliche beat, lyric, metaphor, EVERYTHING.

This album is the true time capsule of what was on the radio & I’m sorry that we have to all explain this to our kids somehow.

  37. ilexx says:

This is insane… This album was by far worse than IANAHB 1.

This is easily Lil Wayne’s worst album.

There is nothing underrated about a shit album like this…..

  38. 2012Industry1 says:

I was for sure thinking this was going to get Worst Album of 2013….y’all whole list lost me! Elliot I expect this fuckery from you….but B. Dot, you should have known better!! Wow…

  39. inthestudyo says:

This album was definitely underrated. Wayne has fallen so far from Mixtape WEEZY that our expectations of him are historic. This album was bad but better than the D4 and his more recent verses. On a Wayne scale this is not his best but overall compared to the environment, this album is underrated
