As CNN confirmed, pioneering actress and singer Lena Horne died last night at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She was 92. A Brooklyn native, Horne overcame racial discrimination as the first Black actress signed to a major Hollywood studio. She later went on to release 40 albums. Below is her final television performance 12 years ago on The Rosie O’Donnell Show.
