We had a whole lot of superstars on this stage here tonight. But this is… Papoose's house? We're all still reeling that the 20th anniversary of Hip-Hop's Super Bowl featured the Nacirema Dream as a headliner. Damn you Kendrick Lamar and your generous ways. Yeah it's hip-hop to bum rush the show but c'mon Pap you know you didn't deserve that look. And you gave even less fucks by performing a new song. C'mon fam. You've paid a lot of dues through the years but this was the big dawg time in the program. Don't disrespect the game in your pursuit for fame. Oh well, Brooklyn took it.
You Played Yourself
Speaking of BK, Fab had a master plan of bringing Lil Kim and Foxy Brown back together again. But when it was time to make history, Fox Boogie was nowhere to be found. Where was you at? Wack.

At the 2:10 mark, DJ Quik makes a, well, quick cameo Correction, Quik does make several appearances. The 2:10 mark is the most prominent. Can I live?! *flips bird* Ha!

Just is the best!
Shock headline above. The real deal is that my buddy Justin usually stays up all night at Baseline Studios and makes beats to the point of exhaustion. Delirious this morning, he created two free beats that he sent through Twitter to his fanatic stans who have MC dreams. This one’s my pick, produced by Just and he spits on it too.
I’m tellin’ you I hear the foundation of a Last Train To Paris song here. Get Sean on the phone!

EW (No YN) is debutin’ rap videos now? What part of the game is this? SMH.
Watch EW’s exclusive premiere of the video for the track “Hey Playa (Moroccan Blues),” shot in Los Angeles and the Adelanto desert. Believe it or not, both the music and video was actually inspired by a recent trip the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern took to Morocco.
“When he [Zimmern] went to a restaurant,” says Quik. “There was a man playing music, the house musician. He had this little stringed instrument and was strumming it so in-tune with the environment — it was crazy. So I sampled it and put a beat to it and later, Andrew even liked it and let me put it in our music.”
Sidebar: Finally started listening to BlaQKout and it’s almost as good as my White critic friends say. Ha!
