Pill Featured In The New York Times

Here’s one helluva co-sign. Yesterday, Pill was featured in the music section of The New York Times. Over the weekend, I listened to his mixtape 4180: The Prescription (4180 is named after one of his addresses) and was enthralled by its wit and authenticity. I previously said on Twitter that his video, “Trap Goin’ Ham” is the best visual I’ve seen this year. His next clip, “Glass” from his follow up tape, 4075: The Refill is scheduled to drop in a few weeks. Get wit’ it or get lost. OK, then

Look who’s still publishing. Hey, I still haven’t listened to this chart-topping crooner’s new shit, but guess you can say he deserves a cover somewhere. That being said, I don’t think I’m gonna cop this from my local newsstand man. YN still supports all magazines tho. Belee Dat!

For those who haven’t seen the America’s Most Wanted tour live yet, Lil Wayne ends each concert with a tribute to MJ. Last night in VA as “Billie Jean” played, hometown fuck boy Chris Brown joined the fun and proved he’s still got all the right moves. Have we fully forgiven this guy yet? I missed the announcement.

Puffy Welcomes Red Cafe To Bad Boy

The 1515 Boys delve deep into the record deal we’ve been hearing about for months. Diddy breaks down how he got a big piece of the Red Cafe pie and plugs the Welcome To Bad Boy mixtape.

“We thought it would be a great idea to collaborate, to put our forces together, to ensure the success of Red’s career,” Diddy added. “He’s been hustling on the scene for, like, seven years now. Maybe longer than that. He’s just now coming into his own. It’s a 50/50 split. It’s no secret to the deal. That’s the best way to do partnerships with your friends and family. Hopefully, we can join our forces together and take Red to the place he needs to be taken to. He’s one of the dopest MCs right now, and he’s honed his craft. The type of music he chose to rock on top of makes him a unique MC.”

Alright already, go make some hits.

“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up my childish ways.”— The Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:11

Now, I’ve never been one to clock another man’s paper, but I think it’s time for an intervention. A moissante diamond encrusted toy car? I mean, really. You’re 19-years-old DeAndre. You know, an adult. Now would probably be a good time time to start acting like one. Yes, you’re entitled to spend your money however want, but as a public figure, your prodigal habits help perpetuate stereotypes regarding Blacks and finance. Hey, I’m no Suze Orman, but at least I’m smart enough to know the difference between guns and butter.
