It sure is and this is the shit. The freshman and the veteran link up for their rendition of the classic Esco and Sosa collabo. This will be featured off Fashawn’s Ode To Illmatic.

something inside of me wont allow me to put my stamp of approval on touching this classic, lol.
i will say this though. talib was lazy as hell, flow and delivery wise. just sounded so uninspired…but hey, you’re going against AZ in 1994.
and in general, it’s gotta make so respect the breath control of AZ and ESPECIALLY Nas, delivering those verses. fashawn wasn’t nearly as complicated and still was having trouble. crazy breath control that nas has.
but yea…some shit just shouldn’t be touched.

^ Okay, I agree but get your own fucking screen name. Fucking dickriders.
But I agree with Nathaniel. This song is easily top 10 hip-hop songs of all time and no way should Talib fucking Kweli come anywhere near this track.
I’d like to say this remake is a good effort…. but i can’t.
Young Chris and Jay Electronica coulda pulled this one off perfectly.
you’re all tryna measure Fashawn and Kweli up to Nas and AZ in 94′, its just not fair. regardless of the outcome, I love that these brothers are paying homage to such a masterpiece. Peace to them for this and anyone else whove paid homage to the ones who came before them.
In love with this beat FOREVER!
