Iz he 4 real? 14 years after dropping his classic Muddy Waters, Red says that he’s working on two follow-ups. Don’t wait til the water runs dry, Reggie!

  4. pissed says:

    Good look for Redman…hopefully we get the same classic feel but updated like Raekwon did with OB4CL2. I dunno though, its pretty much a trend right now for veteran rappers to do sequels to there classic albums.

    I’m a Redman fan but this is just years to late in my book. Ive heard a few new cuts from Redman and wasn’t impressed. I feel like he’s been dumbing it down lately and that’s cool, I understand that’s what you have to do in today’s wack market, but growing up to Redman and knowing his sound, it’s going to be hard adjusting to his “new” sound…if I even bother to listen

    I dunno man, Ive outgrown Hip Hop. I’m older now (32) and none of the new stuff impresses me. I began to lose interest right around the time when No Limit came out. That’s when everybody became a gimmick and the music got dumbed down. Nobody trys to be different and when they do, they are overlooked by dumb fans.

    Remember when we had Tribe rapping over Hip Hop/Jazz beats? or Wu Tang and the grimy NY sound with Martial Arts samples? Dr. Dre and his G-Funk sound? Outkast and their smooth southern sound? All this was happening at the same time. Nobody was doing what the next man was doing. Now we have 300 rappers all trying the same gimmick and making the same dumb snap music.

    The Veteran rappers make a come back and I still don’t want to listen. I don’t want to here my favorite rappers from back in the day STILL talking about being on the block pushing weight and being hood…..really? not cool when you are pushing 40

    @fuckyall

    I knew I wasn’t the only one here that saw something wrong with this post. Don’t get me wrong, Red is in my top 10, but niggaz r jumpin the gun a lil too fast. I’m excited as fuck for hip hop again, trust, but at the same time, I’m startin to feel like a kid who’s dead beat dad keeps makin empty promises too. I need more albums ACTUALLY dropping and less talk about WHEN some shit is dropping. Sorry to sound disgruntled, but fuck that. I’m sick of these pipe dreams and “previews” of shit. Put out the goods already!

  9. mike says:

    a dope trilogy i hope !!
    redman’s projects ;
    albums:
    reggie 2010
    muddy waters 2 2011
    muddy waters 3, blackout 3

  10. fuckyall says:

    @acapella

    I barely have interest. and when they do finally drop, it’s a boring outdated sound with production from their local neighborhood friends. Dont get me wrong, there are still people I check for (Em, Nas, Jay etc) but overall, hip hop is boring.

  11. money Mitch says:

    Blackout 2 eh obcl 2 eh wu massacre short as ur moms hair, idk maybe I hold the originals in such high regard this shit just pales in comparison

  12. Ac@pella says:

  18. money MitcH says:
