50 Cent Traces Family History

Looks like Curtis doesn’t look as bad as yesterday’s photos appeared. Let’s remember in the movie, he’s supposed to be stricken with cancer so of course make-up is added to make him look at his worst. Two days ago, Fif was with his aunt in South Carolina filmin’ his 50’s Roots special for VH1 where he attempts to trace his family genealogy. Do remember: Tomorrow his Invitation Tour kicks off in Cleveland. That’s right, Boo Boo stays busy.

  2. Slim-Shady says:

    )))) I knew it was a photoshop

  3. The Reaper says:

Oh yeah…his little Invitation Tour…doing shows in clubs and small 3000 capacity venues…damn shame 50 has fell off so far and so quick that he can’t even book arenas in the states anymore…he has the nerve to suggest he’s on Hov’s level when he’s still one of the biggest hip hop touring draws today after like 15 years in the game…Hov’s selling out the Garden while Curtis is doing House of Blues dates…smh

  4. The Reaper says:

c More…don’t kid yourself about some “g-unit deal”…nobody is stupid enough to shell out big bucks for a 2010 G-Unit….especially not anything even approaching the 150mil Hov got from LiveNation…g-unit is Murder Inc. in ’04 status right now…50’s the biggest artist on the label and his last album was outsold by a free Drake mixtape…they’re done, that’s why he’s trying so desperately with these wack ass straight-to-dvd movies that he’s funding and losing money on…trying to hurry up and get into movies like Cube or Common before the last remnants of celebrity status he had as a rapper people gave a damn about completely runs out

  5. Juggers says:

Fuck this candyshop nigga! This ain’t popradar

  6. Whowantwhat says:

Damn I wonder if I had chance to be 50 cent or a blogger or a nigga who hates on the Internet which would I choose? Damn that’s a tough question…lol

  7. Stefanie says:

@Slim-Shady: The other pics weren’t photoshopped. He finished filming the movie like 2 weeks ago and gained weight back already. Get your facts straight.

  8. Juggers says:

Lol @ wanting to be another nigga, some real homo shit!

  9. Hendogg says:

Yep internet haters, have you forgotten that G unit just did an over see tour where the real money is at. Iyou can hate all day meanwhile 50 cnet is making moves all day.

  10. E_ says:

    @The Reaper

50 Cent Was Offered 250mil By Live Nation Last Year For A 360 Deal If I’m Not Mistaking, Go Google It, You’ll Find The Report.

  11. Whowantwhat says:

So if you play basketball and wanna be like Jordan your a homo or if your in computers and wanna be like Bill gates your homo? Nigga please! Juggers sounds homo!

  12. Ruse901 says:

YN sticking up for whatever 50 does again… 50 needs to hire you as a PR agent son

  13. Hendogg says:

There is nothing Homo about wanting to be like somebody else. I guess all the people that wear Js or want to play like Kobe or be like Martin Luther king are all HOMOS.
Small minded people ruin this world.

After all, most rappers got their styles by watching other rappers.

  14. Hendogg says:

The Reaper is the real HOMO here, he lets another man make moves and hates on the moves that are being made.

Make yours and stop jocking the man

  15. Albany4life says:

    LMFAO@ whowantwhat’s comment at 10:30

Haters bring up Jay-Z’s success to try to paint a picture of 50 being irrelevant? The whole rap game must be irrelevant if thats gonna be the measuring stick.

When a worldwide superstar does smaller venues its classified as being ‘washed-up”,, but when people who never were actual stars do sweatbox club performances for like 400 people its called ”keepin it hood”……………lmfao @ internet clowns and their blatant hypocrisies

  16. rivermonster says:

RR can be so depressing in the comments section. the posts are cool, but the dummies and haters in the comment section just prove how lame the internets are. it’s not the bloggers that are wack. it’s the commenters. you all spout bullshit. so let me bounce up outta here.

  17. killacrack says:

man 50 is the man, only one who is still doing real rap.i guess if you dont do sweet music where you can put on skin tight jeans and dance with people hate him

  18. Money mitch says:

Bunch of clowns in this bitch imma put in power of a dolla or 50 cent is the future I guess when jz did unplugged in a small venue he was washed up too

    jokesters

  19. okdoagg says:

Lol the aunt should be the one takin a diet

  20. Nolers 1 says:

Big ups 50! Fuck da haters!

  21. gunsdrugsbitches says:

    @The Reaper
listen clown … How many arenas did Jay-Z book when he did American Gangster ?

For the sake of the argument … lets say we would be able to mute Jay’s verses on Empire State of Mind and Run This town and replace him with Kanye, Nas or 50…. I’m pretty sure those dudes would fill the same fuckin arenas that Jay is filling up at the moment.

BP3 was a good listen … but from a hip hop perspective.. the shit was sweeter than autotune.

50’s album wasnt no fuckin Blueprint either … but at least the nigga made a 50 cent album not a compilation of the hottest people in the industry.

So get a life homeboy … and check out Ice Cube giving 50 props on BET…

  22. K.o.D says:

I CAN’T HATE FIFTY… BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT WAS DOPE! FAGGOTS AND WOMEN DON’T LIKE THAT KIND OF HIP-HOP…

  23. jucks says:

Damn I would HATE to be that irrelevant bum 50 cent….

    300 mill banked
FLOPPED with ONLY the 3rd biggest rap album of 2009 without multiple singles
Every media outlet posting my every move
2 mill at least a movie
    Wanted by every label
Only ever compared to the biggest rappers..

Sucks to be him….No wait… sucks to be the unemployed bum hating on this successful legendary self made millionaire

  24. Midnite! says:

    BISD=Very slept on…….Better than Deeper than Crap!GGGGG GGGGG G-UNIT!!!

  25. jucks says:

    Comment by the Raper:
50′s the biggest artist on the label and his last album was outsold by a free Drake mixtape…

    ^
Who wasn’t? Just 2. Get your head out your ass.

That’s why this site fucking sucks…real talk right there, its like being in Middle School all over again, bunch of uneducated, uninformed and one sided opinions….lot of the posts are pretty lame too.Rappers dinner menus and shit like that….oh well, some people like the TMZ brand of news, most don’t.

  27. JayZSupporter says:

Look RR bloggers. I’m a Jay supporter and I hate 50 but facts are facts. 50’s bigger than Jay and he’s also smarter. He understands that it’s better for him at this point to be more of an owner. Even if all his movies go straight to DVD he makes money once all the vendors purchase the product. He has a distribution deal with Lionsgate for his film company.

As far as touring, Jay can’t travel where 50 can. No one knows Jay in other countries like that. Dont get me wrong Jay is internationally known but not on 50’s level. Jay pulled Trey Songz & Jeezy for his tour but fact remains, Jay would be doing exactly what 50 is doing if the tour was solo. 50 knows in this market 10 to 15K US fans will not see him everynight. Now when he brings Monica and Soulja Boy out it’s arena size but solo it’s all him. Guess who is financing the tour, 50’s promotion company. Jay is my fav but we all know he took the guarantee check and has short changed himself to try and get on 50’s level. He works for Live Nation, not saying that isn’t a good thing, 15 million a year to finance your company and products is a win but he will work for them at their pace and they will make sure they keep that nigga in the spotlight and pay for play.

In summary, 50 is a more profitable business man than Jay. His entry in the game proved that. Jay is trying to catch up.

Vitamin water is bigger than all of Jay’s deal combined. Jay and Diddy know that! Jay owns 1.5 percent of the Nets at less than 5 million dollars. Wow! 50 spent 8.5 on his 2005 Europen Massacre tour.

  28. jucks says:

Oh yeah and this bum only played to 250,000 fans in a month worldwide recently at just 80 dollars a ticket. What’s that? 200 dollars. aha

  29. mjack says:

Yo BISD is dope…Like that is music I want to hear…fuck all the hate…fuck hating on or comparing other people money…like that shows you how alot of young men have fuck up characthers….who in the world compares other people money…

but I can not wait for this Invitation tour to start…The US needs a 50 cent Tour….

  30. Ac@pella! says:

Not one person commented on 50 looking 4 his family history. Smh…Ya’ll niggaz’ attention spans are short as hell. Lol..Big up 50 for tryin 2 know where he came from further than the Queens neighborhood he grew up in. Now I wanna trace my family tree.

  31. Money mitch says:

Lol so far gone was only 4 dollars at best buy so 2 mil gross minus what the retail store takes minus the distribution costs minus the labels cut and your left with nothing really except exposure which you can argue is priceless but 50 cd is 12 13 14 dollars at 500000 sold it’s gonna make way more than so far gone so that’s about a shit comparison

  32. the instigator says:

my peoples originally from the SC edgewood/greenwood/abbeville area, which was originally was called ninety-six district. edgewood and abbeville came out of 96 and greenwood came out of edgewood and abbeville. i have traced my genealogy back to my Great-Great-Great-Grand father, who (i think since his master migrated from there) was brought there from virginia by his master. i trace my genealogy through the male line, since this is the way of muslims. i hope to one day finish tracing either back to africa or to europe, since as i said im tracing the males. and you know how the white man got down back then.

if you have never done so or attempted it or even thought about it…….you should try to trace your genealogy. while the old relatives are still alive, you need to ask questions before they pass away and take those memories with them. ask mom, dad, ants, uncles…..anybody who can tell you something about the days that you did not even exist. look at old photos at grandma/pa’s house. go to your local library and look at census records…yes, census records. and if you didnt know, now you know why it is important to do your census and do it right. by having been responsible members of society, my near and far ancestors left me records to look at and use to know something about them. so know something about yourself. you might be suprised at what you come to know.

matter fact, any WATSONS from greenwood or abbeville who read this, or from philly (some of my folks moved there from greenwood/abeeville)……hit me up. my email link works.

and for THIS, ill give 50 some props, esp. if it will inspire young black (since we know the least about our ancestors, other than “they from africa”. have you seen arfica lately? the country is bigger thana mug. so where at in africa you from?!?) and any other people to look at their family’s past.

  33. obiu akbar says:

    @ the instigator

u kinda fucked up though, africa is a continent not a country. africa is like asia and antartica(if i spelled dat right). americans hv d impression dat africa is some country wer d kids r so skinny and all but seriously u cdnt be more mistaken. im from a country in africa and trust me homie, im living goooooood.

    obiu akbar

  34. the instigator says:

    you muslim? akbar?

but nah, aint no kinda bruh. i did mess up. i meant “continent”. hopefully one day ill find out which (if any) country my male lineage is descended from. alot of us african-americans dont know that info. and i hate it.

  35. it is always interesting to know each of our family history _

  36. of course we need to know our family history so that we can share it to our kids ;*.
