N.C. Schools Upset With J.Cole Video

Looks like Jermaine’s new video “Who Dat” has left some North Carolina school officials aggy. Although students from Fayetteville State University and E.E. Smith High School signed waivers to appear in the clip, FSU Chancellor James Anderson delivered an apology to alumni for their cheerleaders involvement. District Superintendent Frank Till took it a step further and told local newspaper The Fayetteville Observer, that he disapproved of the video’s “explicit” themes:

“I think it shows the school and the city in a negative light. I think it was a legitimate mistake on the school’s part. We don’t allow that kind of language in our school. Why would we allow our students to do something like this?”

On Tuesday, Till issued a statement demanding the video be removed from TV and the Internet.

  27. pissed says:

That’s some BS for real. Dude tries to show some love & shed light on his hometown & these uppity mofos wanna shut him down. Guess shit still aint changed for the young black male even when you gettin money legally.

  28. Jack Bandit says:

I’m from SOUTH Carolina and I’m so proud that Cole is coming from the Carolinas, especially with his level of talent. My sister tried to play me bcuz he got cut off on the BET awards and she was saying nobody knows him and I showed her and my pops the video. Nothing was said after but looks of impressment. Cole world. Nothings negative about this video. They either spoke up bcuz of a number of empty complaints or he just wants to be in a position where more people will listen. Either way they need to know who to shut down and who to embrace, but I forgot this is the system that’s supposedly teaching us.

  29. Big 110 says:

Ayo, All The Way From The Westtt… i would like to say fuck Chancellor James Anderson… People curse… Stop livin up to these false expectations… Bill Gates can cuss, Politicians can cuss but young J. Cole can’t… James Anderson is a fucking hypocrite and if you dig deeper you’ll probably find out he has some skeletons in his closet… Shout to J. Cole and the video is a fucking beast… Stop being rapper racist… It’s a culture not a gang….

Did I miss something in the video, was the band or cheerleaders cursing in some subliminal way that I missed. Help me out someone.
