I aint hating on banks, but u r an idiot. Im European so i know what Platinum status is in other countries. Its a million sales for Platinum in the U.S., 500K for gold. In France for fact, gold is 100K and Platinum is like either 300k or 500k. Its like that in many other countries. Why? because u have to put in the fact that the population isn’t as large in number’s as the U.S.
First of all banks came out I recall in 05 with HFM1, G-Unit was still big. in early 06 The Game came out and doubled Banks number’s in the U.S. alone, I’m pretty sure he was widely accepted in Europe, and other parts of the world where hip-hop is not banned, G-unit (as a team) was at its peak. Again Game definitly went platinum wit Documentary in other countries, why i say this, cuz a month after his album dropped, he goes to I think either Germany, or Holland…and starts chanting “50 can suck my dick, banks, buck, yayo can suck my dick” I know that for a fact cuz I seen the video, check on youtube ull find it. One more thing, when you watch the video realize the crowd is packed. Game definitly outsold Banks
Not to sound ignorant though, I’m also pretty Game isnt the last artist who’;s debut went platinum in more then one country. Ur boy Drake probably did, even though I dont fuck wit him as an artist, Im he did. He’s platinum here, I guarentee he’s platinum in another country.
I know moving units and selling records has gone down…but cmon if its still done here, if ur on dat POPSTAR status like Drake, ur defenitly going platinum somewhere else.
