At the beginning of Jay Electronica’s latest release “Jazzmatazz”, he utilized Martin Luther King Jr.’s final speech at the Mason Temple in Memphis, TN. Hours later, he was assassinated on a balcony at the Lorraine Motel. R.I.P. MLK and Guru.

The death of this man—one of the worst tragedies in history. Don’t give a fuck, this man was remarkable and is a hero worldwide. May Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, and every other deceased person taking a stand for human equality rest in eternal peace.

Powerful speech from beginning to end this was when he was standing up for the sanitation workers. The main point was to have an dangerous unselfishness about yourself and always pose the question what will happen to someone else if you dont do anyhting to help them.

jay electronica is a smart dude. there is symbolism behind using mlk’s speech b4 his death rather than his more famous speeches. and its because mlk is the posterboy for civil rights movement as is guru for good hip hop
