Although “Monster” has yet to be released, Kanye’s already working on the visual to “All Of The Lights”. While on the set yesterday, Ri Ri tweeted a picture of her and the flick’s director Hype Williams. Bright lights. Brighter hair.

I actually agree with @TEAM WORLD, the song had so much potential and turned out awful. Im pretty sure Ive never actually made it all the way through (always have to turn it off at the Charlie Wilson/Kid Cudi part). And did anybody else notice that for such a wannabe black militant, Kanyes lyrics in All of the Lights show that hes got a REALLY white perception of the ghetto. I mean, the first verse is about domestic abuse, and the second verse is basically about child support. Kinda disappointing.

@Santa, I think you got it all wrong, man. The song isnt a song about the Ghetto. Every line in the story is a metaphor for what has happened to Kanye and his career the latest year.
“I slapped my girl” = I took the mic from Taylor Swift. And so on.
The consistency of the metaphor “ghetto university” and the context in which it was used is pretty clear. Im not saying the song cant be metaphorical, but at the end of the day the perception of the ghetto is still the same, which happens to be completely gentrified.
