Neither “Kush” or “I Need A” left me with the feeling that Still D.R.E. left me with. I think a lot of it has to do with MTV. When Still D.R.E. came out music videos were still at an all-time high and were being played on Total Request Live (TRL.) Without these type of tv programs it;s harder for a song to become a smash hit. The “Kush” video was really lame and not that special at all. i personally love having a sick mental picture for a song (music video.) Neither song has done so. I really hope Dre kills it w Detox but I’m kinda doubting it at this point. I hope the production is the best production from any rap/hip-hop album of all-time, that’s what the whole world is expecting. I don;t think it will happen unfortunately. The only leaked song so far with amazing production is “Shit Popped Off” featuring TIP. I love that fuckin’ production. Dre doesn’t do that and because of that Eminem does parts of his verse when Dre has to breath. Em does have no second one in this performance, so he uses the original track to go along when he breathes…
