Encore was not even that bad. Take out the corny ass songs and you got 5 decent ones at least lol. Still better than most other rappers’ albums.
I been an Eminem fan, and he did change his style as far as albums go. But you also have to understand that unless you’re willing to make more appealing music, you won’t last as long in the industry. He made an album for his record label (Recovery), and it was good. The lyrics and beat selection was on point, but most of it sounded like a radio single. He sold 3 Million copies already. Think about it: Do you really think he cares what ANYONE says?
Recovery is his Carter 3. More commercial appeal, and high sales, while doing punchline/metaphor heavy rap. Theres a reason hes the highest selling rapper of all time, you can’t be Waka Flocka and do that.
