VH1 went Behind The Music last night with Nelly. The show chronicled his troubled past to super stardom. He also speaks on the tragic death of his sister who lost her battle to Leukemia and opens up on his past relationship with Ashanti.

Nellys album was amazing. You guys really need to expand your horizons like Nelly has. His old albums were bullshit with all that “Country Grammer” nonsense. Its a wonder how he sold so much with that and not this masterpiece of an album.

Anybody dissin’ Nelly is a cornball str8 up. That MTV list he was excluded from was garbage (2000-2009 best rappers). He’s not my favorite artist, but I respect the music he’s put out. He’s probably one of the hardest niggas in rap and he never really used hustlin’ and violence as crutches. B-Real from Cypress Hill gets the same respect from me.
Much respect to Nelly Nel…i don’t feel everything he does but defintely sealed his place in Hip Hop history!

I respect any black man hustle, it’s hard to stay focused and maintain in this white mans world. All we can do get this paper and provide a nice life for our families. They taught us to love their wealth so to be able to make money off music is a fuckin wonderful thing. I fucks wit Nelly, not all his music but I mainly respect his grind.
