What a waste of a class and a REAL professor’s salary. I had some respect for Bun before he opened his big fat mouth and proved he’s an uneducated fool. I lost brain cells listening to these fools.

And Lupe since you’re so smart and got everything figured out then why don’t you do something about it. Lupe is a clown and a terrorist. Yea I said it. Send that Muslim home.

  9. 8 says:

@mikeyyyrockks yo real talk fuck you. you sat through that and all you took away from it is Lupe is a Muslim and he should be sent home. I didn’t realize you and your fellow Native Americans were so against Muslims being here.

  10. dll32 says:

that was just dumb as fuck ! Miseducation ? This miseducation made you probably half of what you are today….stop teaching math, english, history and instead learn growing food ?! Seriously ?

…stfu and think again about what you just said…

  11. RECOVERY says:

@mikeyyyrockks SOMEBODY WHO AGREE FUCK THAT MUSLIM FAGGOT!!!!! SHADY 2011 THE TAKEOVER!!

  12. leo says:

@dll32 Lupe said stop teaching math, english, history in THOSE school systems because the kids don’t pay attention. He’s suggesting that they start from the ground up by teaching the kids things that will be immediately useful. Once the foundation is set, then you teach them higher learning. It’s called planning…obviously the current system isn’t working.

  13. Big Homie Oak [Fuck Boys Thinkin They Bitch Next] says:

Damn those dudes are a lot wiser than I took them for. Respect. Common should’ve been there.

  14. Seriously says:

If soldiers are murderers, when is it okay for them to kill? I suppose they should just stand there and not defend themselves.

  15. G says:

Bun b is a LEGEND! So wise im out!

  16. Nathaniel says:

    @Seriously

the point is your wicked, imperialist government shouldn’t be sending those young men over there to die for their political (not moral) interests. that’s the point.

  20. high school teacher says:

Anyone that thinks Lupe is a genius must be a product of the failed school systems.
THEY WENT TO SCHOOL TO EAT. I WAS PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY.
Damn son that’s crazy. I like how you saw a bunch of problems and then did nothing to try to help these kids.
Teachers are throwing the blame on rappers, rappers are throwing the blame on the kids. All these people in a room talking about the issues may seem like progress, but there is nothing going on. Lupe is not going out and doing shit. He is just complaining like he always does. And talking down to people in the process. I bet you money if tomorrow you stop teaching innercity youth how to read, write and do math Lupe’s gonna say it’s a conspiracy.
I don’t know who he thinks is making a living in America off of growing a plant….

  21. high school teacher says:

*rappers are throwing the blame on the teachers

  22. Kleindrive says:

I respect both Lupe and Bun B as rappers, but this is a little ridiculous. Bun kept trying to justify what they are doing by placing the blame on other people, but there were a lot of holes in what he was trying to say. While everyone knows that there are problems with these kids lives outside of the school system, saying that the music they are listening to has no influence on them is crazy. Just because the tobacco companies or McDonald’s don’t come out and say that they’re bad for you, doesn’t mean that rappers have to stoop to their level. Bun also apparently doesn’t know who his audience is, as tons of white, upper middle class suburban kids, especially guys, listen to his and lupe’s music. He had a damn guest verse on Big Pimpin, a song that everyone heard everywhere to the point that it got annoying. Lupe’s records touch on lots of the key issues of this subject, and I think he does so very well on his albums, but for whatever reason I’m not buying into what he is saying here. If a poor child who has no food must go to school in order to get a meal, and then hears a rapper saying that he made millions of dollars dealing drugs, then it doesn’t take much to make a connection between the two. No doubt it all starts at home, but there is not always much guidance in a home that is under the poverty line when parents are working as much as possible to make ends meet. Also, the kids don’t know who you are because they’re in preschool obviously. That whole bit came off as incredibly arrogant to me. I respect rap and hip-hop as an emerging art form but I really found their answers to be less than convincing.

Honestly, what it all boils down to, is people taking accountability for themselves. Because how can you justify your mistakes by saying i listened to so and so. You made the decision to listen and follow another human being. Blame yourself…..and goodnight.

  26. Truth001 says:

“Those who agree with Lupe Fiasco must be failures of the education system.”

I 100% agree with Lupe Fiasco, & this is coming from a Straight-A student throughout all High School. America’s education system is seriously flawed, you don’t even need to be smart get good grades in school. To pass a test, all you need to do is memorize answers. After the test is done, you don’t learn nor remember shit. Teachers don’t even care how smart you are, if your attendance is poor then you get lower grades. You could be smart as Einstein & still get C’s if you don’t show up. Kids show up to school to “hang out” w/their friends and eat free lunch.

Who the fuck cares what A+B*6565^4 is in math? Who the fuck cares what someone did in 1865? Who the fuck cares about cursive handwriting? None of that shit will help me cope with a family death, relationship break-up, how to find a job, put food on a table during desperate times, etc. This is what Lupe Fiasco is trying to explain for you lesser minded morons.

Even the college system has flaws. C’s get degrees. You could be the smartest person in college but the person with Straight-C-‘s gets the same exact degree as you during graduation even though they put in way less work. Listen to Lupe Fiasco’s words with an open-mind & don’t take it for face value. The internet seems to make a bunch of nobodies feel important with uneducated comments.
