A month after Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers debuted at number one, his lead single, “The Show Goes On” has earned him another platinum plaque. This mark’s Lupe’s second single to surpass a million in sales. The first being 2007’s “Superstar.” Congratulations.

good for him, he deserves it. i was right about to go pick that lasers album up until i read all the stuff he said about it. i’d rather pay up for music that he actually cares about, so i’ll be waiting for what’s next.
Good for Lupe. I personally don’t like the song or the album for that matter…but i respect Lupe for his previous work. I’m sure his next album is gonna be crazy.

I was skeptical of Lasers at first, especially after reading all the negative shit, but go back and give it another listen, almost every song is fire. Sure it’s not Food & Liquor, but at least he’s showing versatility. There’s enough Waka and Nickelback-style artists out there already that have no versatility and produce music that all sounds the same.
