Continuing his chat with Rap Up, Cole says before he drops his debut, he plans to release a mixtape with tracks that did not make the final cut. No title or release date yet on that collection, but Cole World: The Sideline Story is slated for September 27.

I aint catching feelings. Im doing this from my phone chilling. I just dont understand the skepticism that Cole will actually drop a album this year. Look at it like this….if this new tape has a song like In The Morning like FNL did, that will add to his radio play same as In The Morning did even if Work Out dont blow up. I feel like this mixtape only gonna help creat a bigger buzz for dude.

just look at it this way. His album is definitely coming out. We are going to be receiving great music from this dude. Flop? doubt it. This dude gaining buzz from touring with Rhianna and having singles like workout to reach outside his targeted audience. I got girls on facebook saying how they “Saw Rhianna and J.Cole last night, it was amazing” so you know the dude is doing something right to reach a wide spread audience. At the end of the day Cole is going to stick to what he knows, making good music, and yes hes going to need songs like workout but we also know there will be songs like lot ones.
btw 87k your first week, from an artist whos album was pushed back like 3 years isnt a flop, plus the leak came like 2.5 weeks before his drop date. Sean needed that album to come out, now more than ever people know his name. Same will happen with cole except i want breakout numbers, ill buy 3 copies.
