After announcing their 13th studio LP this past July, The Roots revealed on their Facebook page that their first concept album will be released Dec 6th via Def Jam.

Can’t wait! Loved “How I Got Over” last year. This is the fastest turnaround The Roots have had since they dropped consecutive studio albums in 1995 and 1996. If Nas drops in the 4th quarter, my year will be made.
The Roots continue to release fantastic music. I can’t wait for this new album. THIS is the type of music we need.
