“immortal” is one of those people that hates just to do it. First of all, anybody that actually listened to WTT would agree that Jay killed it a thousand times harder than Kanye; in fact, most people have been disappointed/annoyed with Ye’s contribution. Second, everybody knows that Jay speaks in layers. U want to zero in on the interpretation that deals with wealth? Fine, but you’re intentionally overlooking another topic or 2 on most songs. For example, “Why I Love You” can refer to his fans, the beak-up of the old Roc, or hip hop in general. Your favorite rapper can’t rap like that, only Jay can. And that’s why his worst line is still cooler than you.
