  11. LOS says:

He’s so consistent with his work! Another classic mixtape under his belt…Can’t wait to hear his album productions.

  12. ToTheeStarZ says:

This guy just shits on everybody. its like he climbed onto the roof of the industry, popped a few laxatives, drank a coffee, smoked a cigarette and shat in the chimney. I mean who else turns down a $7 million record deal? …Someone who knows that the offers will only increase….

    consistent, creative, interesting.

    he’s 3/3.

  17. TheChosenOne says:

FOH with that new MJ talk. Ain’t nobody the new MJ. When someone else comes out and and can sing, dance, act, has a 40 year career, changes the entire musical landscape and sells over a billion records in their lifetime and the whole world knows their name then come talk to me. Till then, stop it 5. Ain’t nothing prolific about this dude. He has no vocal range. His is mediocre at best. Honestly, I don’t see what separates him from The Dream. This generation loves to hype up subpar bullshit like its the the greatest thing to come along since sliced bread.

  18. TheChosenOne says:

Why y’all censor certain comments. That’s some bitch shit.

  19. Errol Games says:

dudes nice but he’s no MJ. Michael was the total package sing, dance, fame, all of that. Weeknd’s gotta do more live shows before he even gets close to an MJ comparison from me. I fucks with this mixtape tho

  21. RC says:

You niggas keep bringing up The-Dream cause thats who he sounds like. Understandable.

But I listen more for song composition, style, arrangement, beats and the lyrics.

Ive yet to listen to this but I hope its like Thursday. Which was a cold ass mixtape.

The Dreams 1977 was the shit as well. I’ll listen to both artists.

I have no idea why folks want to compare the weekend to MJ. Seriously? How the fuck do you go from The Dream to MJ?

That MJ bullshit aint even worth a real response.

  22. itsMe says:

Artist of the year….nobody even comes close

  23. D mane says:

    He’s so far gone

  24. Cadet says:

@ItsMe Frank Ocean. Dude put out 1 mixtape & was feat. On “The Throne” , Beyonc

  25. Peachie says:

@RC – “But I listen more for song composition, style, arrangement, beats and the lyrics.”

Exactly. That’s why The Weeknd is so tough. He gives us ALL of that consistently & for FREE! I’m glad he’s being recognized because this 21 year old Canadian is creative as hell and is def about to take over. He’s done remixes for Lady Gaga & Florence + The Machine. Co-wrote/produced/featured on FIVE songs from Take Care. The Weeknd should def be credited for a great deal of Take Cares success. Long story short, nobody out there like this kid. He has created his own lane. Every one of these mixtapes compliments the other. If you dont understand the concept or some of the lyrics, go to the previous tapes.

P.S. Listen with Beats By Dre 🙂

  26. ColoradoKnight says:

The Weeknd is an amazing talent, in my opinion. There’s a certain macabre about his style that appeals to me.

  27. wow says:

He is too far ahead of everyone. This is amazing! Creative. Inventive. Music how it should be!

  28. M.T says:

yesss. Im about to check it out. Hopefully its as good as House of Ballons and Thursday.

  29. OVOXO says:

Simply AMAZING.. This dude is unreal

  30. RC says:

Ive listened to the Mixtape about 6 times now.

I find the production and lyrics to be great as usual. Even though I liked the beats, they just didnt move me like his usual songs do.

But, this mixtape isn’t as good as HOB or Thursday.

It find it exceptionally moody, even for The Weeknd himself.

Best track on the album is Montreal in my opinion followed by Outside.

  31. cooldude says:

    hob > eos > thursday

    but they’re all crazy

    keep it up homie
