Red Cafe is one of those niggas who’s album was supposed to drop like 10 years ago. I remember this nigga hosting 106 & Park Freestyle friday back when AJ & Free were the hosts. Like Idk how he does it, but this nigga is always around. Even though he himself knows his album will probably drop after Detox and Jesus returns.
I would never tell anyone to give up their dreams but it gets to a point where the people just stop listening and no longer care. Red been going since 1998 and still has no album and he won’t have one in the near future. He still playing JV while his contemporaries made it to the pros over a decade ago. Cafe nearing 40 years old, still wearing sagging skinny jeans, big hats, and bigger glasses and when he started following trends and not being a leader 3-4 years ago he lost what he had. In the past few years I’ve heard songs from him where he sounded like lil wayne, rick ross, 2chainz, tyga, jeezy, drake, and anyone else who got hot. But I haven’t heard Red Cafe in 3-4 years. It was a good try for 14 years but it didn’t work out for him.
