Deff knockin this during All star weekend.
First off
I’m a big Budden fan!
Even chopped it up w/him a few times in the Myspace days
Met Tahiry before the fame (my boy knew her) in 2005
Have all the mood muzik /NOL etc
If you’re willing to accept that this is a big move for Budden then you can be ok with this track. I guess it’s sort of a “justification” for the generic beat/hook/features but then you can understand why Joe did it.
Joe’s “Q rating” (which is a # of how well you’re known by consumers & potential endorsers) is probably at the highest it’s been since the “pump it up” days.
However, this IS the kind of song that Joe used to rant against on his youtube/twitter before everyone started listening. So it’s kind of funny & a downer to hear Joe put this “safe” song out.
Anyway, I feel like Joe sold out & there’s not going back, but I do hope for a good album.
We’ll see
