singin..??.?.?..?.? come on! not good… the verses be good tho.. why does that nigga sing? just like before… work out wasnt good and this is same.. expected more… singin for the loss..

  2. Chronic says:

Beat was cool, he is coming into his own in production. And I didnt think that the singin really takes away from the song cause he didn’t really go on format long.

  3. CaM says:

Cole so dope he like a younger super smoth Game..

  4. @tshiamofs says:

An obvious assault to the urban charts, will take time to hit hot 100 though…I am impressed!

  5. Yamzz says:

timing is everything thats why you gotta respect this guy

  6. PHREASHest says:

    Cole World! We got one!!!

  7. Darrius says:

I CAN’T GET JIGGY WITH THIS SHIT!

J.Cole is the Hip-Hop Micheal Beasley…He has the all around talent to shit on these niggas but never rise to the occasion when it’s time.

  9. matrix says:

Shit is Fire!! Nigg produced this?? Damn…

  10. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

    J. Cole will speak at Harvard University’s Hip Hop Archive on Feb 26. Entitled “The Mindstate of a Winner: A Conversation with J. Cole”….Niiiiicce !

  11. DMVinyourchick says:

Mmmmm I can get jiggy with this shit, nice production dope lyrics, I see some growth, this is all I asked for

  12. youngtoona says:

the beginning was kinda slow but it picked up as it went on. still dope tho.

  13. Donn says:

Grabs the popcorn and waits for the comments…

  14. jrak says:

    Dang! Cole WORLD!!

  15. mint says:

lovin this track. Good job Coley

  16. jonnybusiness says:

Like this joint a lot way better than Work out but won’t be as big as that joint or Lotus Flower Bomb.He needed to come correct cos to me Sideline Story was up there with Canibus as the most disappointing album from a debut with that much buzz.

  17. apvjr says:

got this on repeat….this is my speed

  18. Skinny says:

This is definitely dope plus Cole proved he don’t need a major crossover hit to sell records as long as the music is as good as this is I will buy

  19. Richard says:

Damn this is “lights please” 2013, such a good tune!

  20. Yessir says:

This song is real dope. Tooo smoooth

  21. zeee says:

    @lone thats miguel singing dummy

  22. Jav says:

I usually just comment on Wale post to hate on him for being such a sell out, but this song is tooooo good. #coleworld no snuggie.

  23. onenutned says:

album filler…its a cool song but nothing amazing.

  24. Word says:

COLE FUCKING WORLD! If this shit dont make its way into the radio rotation, I dunno what will.

I dont mind the singing/harmonizing. Kendrick did the same on a couple songs too. The production aint bad, its actually pretty good. Can anyone confirm who produced it?

Lyrics wise, sharp as usual. After listening to Truly Yours, I knew this album wouldnt disappoint and it looks that way so far. Song should do well.

For what its worth, this song is better than Work Out for sure. Lmao and it doesn seem like he and Drake decided to swap singles this year haha.

  25. Track is good

I wonder if Elliott Wilson would be dick-riding dude if Jay wasn’t behind him

  26. Haters gon Hate says:

DOPE ASS SONG…IM GRABBING POPCORN WAITING FOR THE HATERS! AND IM PRETTY SURE THEY’LL BE SOMEBODY WHO’S GONNA SAY “OH SO ITS COOL FOR COLE TO SING BUT YALL GET ON DRAKE FOR SINGING?” JUST STFU AND ENJOY THE MUSIC INSTEAD OF TRYNA POINT OUT WHATEVER HYPOCRITICAL SHIT YALL FIND. 37. Cruel Thing says:

Cole sounds like Hit-Boy in this song on the verses

  38. The Rob says:

Anyone else think Cole’s voice sounds strange/different on the first verse? Like I almost don’t recognize it as Cole.. Song is straight fire though

  39. Word says:

As someone else said, this song sounds great because it doesn’t sound like hes reaching with this sound. He doesn’t sound uncomfortable to me like he did on Work Out and a couple other songs off Sideline

  40. whereyourseabass says:

none of you know anything about how to make music.

this song is going to explode.

hope your mom’s basement is comfy.

  41. reall says:

this is 9/10… 11/10 because he choose it to be a single

  42. Loch says:

Cole on his grind.Dropped an EP out of no where and a song w/ like the hottest Rnb dude out

  43. the brain trust says:

FINALLY! Cole releases a 1st single worthy of his talent.

The issue with ‘Work Out’ was that it sounded like silly commercial pandering, with absolutely no substance.
‘Miss America’ on the other hand, had the issue of being all over the place (in terms of subject matter).

But, THIS is really dope. Great production (wonder what the sample is), witty, honest verses & a long awaited collab with Miguel on the hook.

I might be wrong, but this sounds like a huge hit to me.

  44. CK says:

brilliant. hope the video is as good. he needs bbgun back his videos

  45. BlippityBloop says:

I don’t like this shit cuz it aint aimed at me. This is why I didn’t buy his 1st album. Won’t be buying this one either cuz when you got a song like this, you don’t know what to expect from the project as a whole. It’s a shame cuz he’s one of my top 3 fav. artists right now

  46. ECU says:

Verses were great and so was the production.

    STRAIGHT FIRE

  47. ski says:

This is DOPEEEE!!!!! Pure fire cole….I’m impress…

  48. Honestly says:

COLEY FUCKIN SHIT!!!!!! THIS IS AN EVOLUTION. INDEED one his strongest to date. The reference back to the “dreams track killed. My god . This albums gonna make noise. And to top it off this is the single. I hope the PD’s heard Dat

  49. jinx says:

Great Comeback Cole Keep Shxting on the Industry. #BornSinner #PowerTrip #Coleworld

  50. Mo says:

This is the perfect single for Cole. Appeals to the mainstream crowd but it isn’t watered down unlike Work Out. Born Sinner is gonna be incredible

  51. Vins says:

Cant believed yall suprised he is ”singing all of a sudden”… He was already singing on his first tape The Come Up

  52. Word says:

@CK Cosign. He needs to borrow a page from Drake and have a private director film his videos using those high quality lenses and cameras that make the videos look better. Drakes last two videos, Started from the Bottom and HYFR, were directed by Director X. Safe to say ppl loved those videos and he may keep using that guy when hes doing something simple like that. Maybe different guys when he actually needs all the special effects like the Take Care video. But Cole should keep using BBGUN like he did on Lost Ones and Sideline Story I think.

  53. BIG BIRD says:

Cole Flying with this RITE HERE

  54. NEED THAT says:

    COLE WORLD NO MORE SAID

  55. Snoop says:

So much better than his last flop single. THIS A FUCKING HIT!! Dope

  56. CJ says:

First of all it’s Miguel singing, not Cole. Honestly, Cole might be the best producer in the game. Can’t wait for this album. ColeWorld

  57. 3rdRail says:

He just slowed down the melody from Daft Punk “One More Time”. Hope it’s accredited…
