Drake definitely showed his pen game for what the song is about, which is really nothing specific. Just spittin’ whatever, which is cool. I enjoyed a lot of his lines.
Let’s be real though, there was a little bit lacking in delivery. He got a little off beat a couple of times. A lyrical perfectionist (Like Jay was at one point) would have done another take to correct those flaws and to get a little more comfortable on the beat. He didn’t even do a lot of his patented ad libs cause he clearly had written himself into a couple of corners with the beat. Small criticism for good song but some of yall say “Best ever” and “Perfection” way to quickly these days. He’s really good, that’s enough for now.
