Now you’re trying to change the discussion. The simple fact is that this is NOT new.
Two white boys, one a rapper and one a producer, go the independent route and make socially conscious, story-oriented rap music, to the delight of hipsters everywhere. Sound familiar?
They even sound similar- from the instrumentation in the production right down to the slight over-enunciation in the delivery.
