Two years ago today, we lost hip-hop legend, Guru. As only The Finisher can do, he got on the 1s & 2s and did a great tribute mix on Hot 97. Cee also acknowledged the passing of Dick Clark.
UPDATE: 2013 mix. Rest In Power.
MAN..FUCK DICK CLARK…he was the same dude that tried to jack Don Cornelius’ Soul Train and make a spin off…..crab shit..
Not that this has ANYTHING to do with ANYTHING but weren’t there rumors of both of them (Guru and Cee) being allegedly gay? Not trying to be funny. This is a serious question.

kemosabi…check ya facts bruh..dick clark created Soul Unlimited…smfh
Clark attempted to branch into the realm of soul music with the series Soul Unlimited in 1973. The series, hosted by Buster Jones, was a more risqué and controversial imitator of the then-popular series Soul Train and alternated in the Bandstand time slot. The series lasted for only a few episodes.

R.I.P Guru, Much Respect…Dope Mix..but why’d ya’ll find the gayest pic possible of the big homie?!
I grew up & hung with Keith in Boston. Anyone looking at GURU’s photos and sees “gay”. Take a look in the mirrow. That’s all in ya head. Before dudes started wearing baggy pants and then later sagg’n just don’t remember when it was “FLY” for guys to wear Gucci. Armani, Versace. ASAP Rocky or Kanye didnt invent high fashion in Hip Hop. We been there and left. Keith would be 52 this year. He wasn’t from yall’s era and was even older than most of the cats he rolled with.
RIP old friend
