Big Sean On Working With Eminem

Big Sean finally got his studio time with Eminem, but the outcome still remains a mystery as where it will live. Sean spoke with MTV on the experience.

“We talked for a few hours before we even worked on music. I was telling him my stories about how we were performing all around downtown Detroit and [it turned out that] he was performing in the same places. It was funny because every story I told him about how I lost a lot of friends, relationships and girls…and [how I’ve] made new friends, he was like, ‘Man, it’s crazy, because every story you telling me, I got the exact same story just in a different way. Real G’s…similar tales.”

    LOL EM GRINDED HIS WHOLE LIFE AND DEALT WITH A LOT SHIT GROWING UP BECAUSE HE WAS WHITE.. BIG SEAN HAD AN EASY ASS LIFE AND WAS CORNY AS HELL. JUST GO LOOK AT THAT DRUG FREE PDA HE DID IN HIGH SCHOOL. NOT TO MENTION HE’S BLACK SO THAT MADE IT EASIER FOR HIM TRYING TO BE A RAPPER AS WELL.

  5. Despite says:

    @DAT WHITE NIGGA

    First time I’ve ever heard a person give white people any sympathy.

  6. DAT WHITE NIGGA says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A67YeDJjkQw HERES THE VIDEO I WAS TALKING ABOUT. LOL SO FUCKIN CORNY

  7. DAT WHITE NIGGA says:

    @DESPITE

    I’M NOT GIVING WHITE PEOPLE IN GENERAL SYMPATHY. I’M JUST STATING FACTS. EM HAD A ROUGH ASS LIFE GROWING UP. BIG SEAN LIVED WITH A NORMAL MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER WHEN HE WAS A KID. NOT ONE MEMBER OF EMS FAMILY WAS NORMAL. ALSO, YOU REALLY DON’T THINK IT WAS HARDER FOR EM TRYING TO COME UP AS A WHITE RAPPER BACK IN THE LATE 90’S? RAP WAS STILL STRICTLY BLACK THAN. HE BROKE THAT BARRIER.

  8. Kaybee says:

    When is that “hall of fame dropping?” Better push it back to somewhere in the fall cos I see Wale and Cole coming hard. That switch up track wasn’t though, but u need to step it up Sean. U can’t even tell where we gonna find the u and Eminem track whether it’s on Eminem’s album or on yours, u sound confuse. Get it together Sean!

  9. Rozay says:

    @DAT WHITE NIGGA

    Sean was in high school nigga, went to one of the smartest High Schools in Detroit Cass Tech, believe it or not Em was smart too he just didn’t like school… just because Sean was smart enough to attend Cass Tech doesn’t mean he had money or didn’t have a rough life…. living in Detroit is rough enough.. I would know.

  10. Obama says:

    Yeah “Big Sean”.. You’re a real “G”… Tell me more about growing up in an artsy private school with a 3.7 GPA…

  11. The Wise says:

    This guys such a fuckin corball…his mom bought him an eminem album?! Wtf…i hadda bus it to best buy an dodge them hearing me listen to that shit..those were the days…an its a but bizarre a black mom buyin her son an eminem album..thats jus fuckin weird

  12. Rozay says:

    @Obama
    Cass Tech isn’t a private school it;s a public school jackass, you just need good grades to get in, didn’t know the requirements for rap was that you had to be a dummy although Chief Keef and Gucci Mane beg to differ.

  13. Lincoln's bullet says:

    Em broke the barrier for white rappers??!? The beastie boys, 3rd bass, young black teenagers, r.a. the rugged man,they’ve BEEN white mc’s around! Hell, he was influenced (cage & necro) by white mc’s!!

  14. iam says:

    I come from the suburbs so my opinion might not matter but fuck it imma say somethin anyways. Why is it that you gotta come from a broken home or poverty to make good music that people can vibe to? Why is it that you wanna listen to how shitty someone’s life was instead of music that lifts you up? I get making records about over coming those obstacles but we as a world need to focus on where we are going not where we been cause regardless where you came from the future is looking bleek for humanity as a WHOLE. But hey I grew up around love and positivity so maybe I don’t hold grudges against others for being born in a certain home and just embrace them cause there human. I’m sick of seeing the “man he grew up in a good fam fuck him” like are you serious? Big sean never claimed to grow up hood or act olike somethin he’s not. Hes just an mc trying to feed the ones he loves. Love

  15. the brain trust says:

    I can’t believe people are mocking Big Sean for actually going to school & getting good grades.

    SMH. Such ‘coonish’ attitudes will ensure you niggas never prosper.

    Also, I don’t know (or care) about Big Sean’s background.

    I only care about his perspective on life & the quality of music he puts out.

  16. The Wise says:

  41. Keely says:

    Keely Ferguson is a girl with an incredible voice.
    Eminem and Mr. Porter who recently have been working with her in studio think the same. Early in May news blogs stated that Eminem was recording a song with Keely for her new album. The rumors were caused by the picture that Keely posted in her Instgram.
    You’ve already had a chance to hear Keely’s soft voice on a track by Slaughterhouse — Coming Home. On May, 9 a song “Forever Love” produced by Denaun Porter came out.

    Keely agreed to give us an interview and told us a lot of interesting stuff.

    Here is Keely Ferguson’s interview for our magazine.
