The underdog’s back on top. Three weeks after its release, J.Cole‘s sophomore effort Born Sinner, will top the Billboard charts.
According to HDD, the album sold an estimated 55,000 last week. This will mark Jermaine’s second number one, Congratulations to the entire Dreamville team. Final tally tomorrow.
UPDATE: On the road to gold, 439,117 copies sold.

I’m confused since when did we keep track of what artist did other than their first week sales and when they go gold and plat? Unless I’m not reading this right? If I am.. Who gives a shit what he did three weeks later.. Album wasn’t #1 when it first came out.. Not hating.. Just curious.. I liked Coles album
Usually if an album doesn’t go number one in its first week it will not go number one, so for Cole to have the number one album three weeks later shows the that real hip hop fans know, real hip hop fans care.

Both his albums went on a first class trip to the recycle bin records on my computer….. the only reason I keep giving him chances is his fire ass mixtapes. But congrats on that number 1 spot thats a good look!!! Well deserved he seems very humble!!

I thought this album was a disappointment, I thought Kanye’s was better than Coles and Jays. Coles being too average, and Jay not having a damn thing to say. (my favorite verse has to be when he attempts to diss Wayne, let me paraphrase “Well, if you kidnap my wife I’ll … I’ll kidnap your whole family… thats why we were black… and stuff. yeah. HOV” Pathetic to say the least. Cole delivered an album exactly how I imagined he would. The musicality was poor and the verses amateur at times. While Kanye didn’t wow listeners with technical verses that showcased a higher level of poetic talent his rhymes worked with timeless concepts of love, hate, money, greed. However, what Kanye was able to do was to hand listeners a copy of something they hadn’t heard before and give zero f**ks. Thats what set him aside and on top this summer.
Props to Cole this album is dope.This and Magna Carta killing the summer
