  33. TecOneNyc says:

    @ZoomZoomDad-Otis
    G Unit died…Let it go
Wale+JCole+Kendrick = leaders of the new school

  34. MaClarte says:

I’m confused since when did we keep track of what artist did other than their first week sales and when they go gold and plat? Unless I’m not reading this right? If I am.. Who gives a shit what he did three weeks later.. Album wasn’t #1 when it first came out.. Not hating.. Just curious.. I liked Coles album

  35. GlassesMalone says:

Usually if an album doesn’t go number one in its first week it will not go number one, so for Cole to have the number one album three weeks later shows the that real hip hop fans know, real hip hop fans care.

Hate on haters, it will just fuel the next classic.

  36. yelabieard says:

this album is forgettable, I thought cole was up there with drake and kendrick… not anymore

  37. Mo says:

Lmao Born Sinner best album of the year so far . Far from forgettable. But then again you can’t please everybody.

  38. TrueMusic says:

I honestly believe it has to be the same person posting stupid negative comments … The Album was Dope!!! Thats why its #1 three weeks later …

  39. edi says:

lowest #1 ever…………. sales wise…….. this should tell you something

  40. Da Business says:

    Props to Cole…

  41. That Guy says:

The beginning of a new movement

  42. Word says:

Lmao @Zeggy Shae posted the same comment over and over under different names. Its pretty freaking obvious. B.dot can air you out too because he can see it’s the same IP address.posting the negative comments. Your hate doesn’t change the results.

And it mattetrs because the album went number 1. Period. Its harder to do that AFTER the first week than it is the first if you haven’t done it already. First week sales, gold/plat status, and whether you top the charts. Don’t hate.

  43. everyone loves an underdog !! hey cole only got here bcos people gave him a shot at doing what he loves ! im rapper and i really try hard to promote all the time but only a few get back but i wont stop because this is what i love . and i appreciate every single bit of feedback i get

  44. StarFox64 says:

all im saying is dude actually said in an interview that it was “nothing ” for him to record power trip, he described it as being effortless, in this case some1 should tell dude to explain why power trip will be the only memorable song of that album…

  45. StarFox64 says:

besides fuckin “i let nas down”, and nas’ cute response…

  46. jimmythirdeyi says:

rocnation #winnin right now…fuck yo opinion like ya mother.

  47. One2go says:

    @ edi
Get your facts straight…you don’t have to like the artist just try to have an ounce of honesty, Cole is not even the top 3 of lowest sales for a number one

  52. Trillionare says:

Both his albums went on a first class trip to the recycle bin records on my computer….. the only reason I keep giving him chances is his fire ass mixtapes. But congrats on that number 1 spot thats a good look!!! Well deserved he seems very humble!!

  53. Black Shady says:

  57. damontaylor06 says:

I thought this album was a disappointment, I thought Kanye’s was better than Coles and Jays. Coles being too average, and Jay not having a damn thing to say. (my favorite verse has to be when he attempts to diss Wayne, let me paraphrase “Well, if you kidnap my wife I’ll … I’ll kidnap your whole family… thats why we were black… and stuff. yeah. HOV” Pathetic to say the least. Cole delivered an album exactly how I imagined he would. The musicality was poor and the verses amateur at times. While Kanye didn’t wow listeners with technical verses that showcased a higher level of poetic talent his rhymes worked with timeless concepts of love, hate, money, greed. However, what Kanye was able to do was to hand listeners a copy of something they hadn’t heard before and give zero f**ks. Thats what set him aside and on top this summer.

  58. Loch says:

Props to Cole this album is dope. This and Magna Carta killing the summer
