As 33 couples tied the knot at the Grammys, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed “Same Love” along with Madonna and Queen Latifah. Earlier in the evening, they took home 4 Grammys including Best Rap Album. Congrats!

Not when you understand that everything is made up of vibrating energy. The Earth, trees, water, humans and animals are all basically made of the same stuff when you go down deep enough. If God is the Universe’s energy there is not one thing mentioned in the Bible that Science would be at odds with. Omniscience, covered, miracles, covered, Creation, covered, virgin birth, covered, heaven and hell, covered, and even souls are covered and Scientifically provable.

Intelligent people know that when referring to ‘dirt’ the Bible is actually talking about atoms. Everything is made up of the same stuff and dirt is the most basic of that. When God created Adam and Eve (the first two just for explanation sake) he also created other Adam and Eve’s around the planet. When telling the story so that humans could understand it is simplified. You can think of Adam as Atom and Eve as evolution. This fact is shown when Cain leaves the Garden of Eden and finds a wife in another land who would not exist if God had not created other humans.

Christians weren’t being stereotyped – At no point is anything negative said about Christianity, and I don’t think the word “Christian” was used even once within that performance, or in the studio version of that song. The song goes at people who use select, out of context sections of the bible as an excuse to pass judgment on people who are different from them. Those aren’t Christians- they’re ignorant douchebags.

They absolutely were mocking Christianity. Madonna wore an outfit that was a cross between a priestess and a witch with an masonic cross on her neck. They set the background as a stained glass cathedral. Macklemore states ‘why should we listen to a 3000 year old book. The constant repeating of No Crying on Sunday is meant to say they aren’t going to let church make them feel guilty. This was all followed by a blatantly satanic performance by Katy Perry. Katy Perry also wore an illuminated masonic cross, upside down, on her dress. Only about 2-6% of the population is homosexual but the Grammy’s and the mainstream media try to make it appear that it’s more like 30-40%. People mimic what they see in the media. The agenda is to try to get high school and college age kids to experiment with bi-sexuality. That is far beyond promoting tolerance, it is an attempt to promote their own agenda.
I understand that a Grammy doesn’t make or break the artist but Kendrick losing Best Rap Album to the these 2 is mind boggling?! gkmc is truly a work of art. very disappointing

Hip hop, like any other musical genre, is ever-evolving. It either does that, or the genre truly will die. Part of the whole point and attitude that’s widespread among hip hop is being proud of who you are, and saying “fuck off” to anyone who can’t and won’t accept that. Why is this particular issue any different?
I also believe Kenrick got robbed with the Rap Album category — shit, even Macklemore knows and publicly acknowledges this — but that aside, you can’t hate on this performance. This was kind of a big deal. People will be talking about it years from now.

The entire setup was meant not just to push the agenda but to demean and poke fun of Christianity. I am not sure if Macklemore meant for it to be taken that far or if it was Madonna’s or the show’s idea. His song isn’t overly attacking Christianity but when combined with the rest of the show, the suit, the stained glass windows it was definitely a dig on Christianity.

Wow i know hip hop is suppose to speak on the issues, but this is what everybody is doing now? Speaking out for equality is not the radial political statement. Hip-Hop is about voicing your opinion, its social commentary. Macklemore raps about this because its something that affects him in one way or another. Tupac saw young girls getting pregnant so he made ‘Brenda’s Got a Baby.’ Macklemore saw gay people being treated unfairly so he made ‘Same Love.’

A lot of people don’t understand how the Grammys work and are judged. Its the riaa, an association of people who went to school for music. So you may have a “stuffy” music engineer with a degree that has to vote on the hip hop category and doesn’t listen or know how to critique hip hop and furthermore who has never heard of Kendrick. But, has heard of macklemore because of all the radio airplay. The example I give is when people go to the polls to vote and they don’t know all the candidates, they just vote on whoever because they don’t know. Lol…..the riaa votes well on rock, jazz, and classical because those forms of music are the same AND that’s what you study in music 101 in school, not hip hop.
