  1. Greenbergs says:

this dude desperately needs a new management team…

    1. Soufwest832 says:

why you say that??..just asking not being a smart ass.

      1. Personally says:

Personally I think this nigga’s whole image is WACK even though he’s not a completely wack rapper. He’s always yapping about 3rd eye consciousness but he doesn’t even seem like he knows what he’s saying. Compared to a cat like A$AP who has a well-manicured presentation (cutting edge fashion, slick videos, catchy ad-libs & phrases) it seems like Badass has a motif that isn’t well-developed outside of yelling “beast coast”, sounding like a watered down 90’s clone & wearing the world’s worst bucket hats.

        1. Jay says:

He raps like he isn’t confident in himself, IMO.

        2. smillinkilla says:

you nailed it bro. he should just rap about dragon ball z. no enlightened person calls himself “bada$$”

      2. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

every form of criticism is not “hate”. From my POV Joey has never lived up to the hype. He’s not a good songwriter and his music sounds like dusty Duckdown outtakes from 1991.

        1. Greenbergs says:

woah, this dude took it there bruh..

      3. Greenbergs says:

what @Personally said mostly n they dont know how to handle him, if he keeps this shit up, the hipsters who r his only fans, will move on..

    2. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

      and a songwriter.

      1. Chronic says:

You shouldn’t hate just because he’s not making cookie-cutter type shit like most other rappers. Very possibly might be a sleeper for album of the year if the rest of the album is like what he’s shown so far

        1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

i stopped reading when you typed “shouldn’t hate”

          1. Chronic says:

Are you saying you’re not hating on the kid by saying he needs a song writer when he’s one of the best pure lyricists in the game right now? Just admit you’re butt hurt he didn’t sign with jay

          2. GetReal says:

no he’s saying he can’t write a song to save his life dumb ass dick rider

          3. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

            HA!

      2. The Rock says says:

        Hes better than macklemore tho

        1. Selorm Amuzu says:

Don’t start you don’t want B-Dot to start cheerleading Macklemore’s platinum plaques lool

        2. Greenbergs says:

as someone who greatly dislikes macklemore..naw, dude actually knows how to make musical sounding hip hop, hasnt jacked anyone n isnt trying to…but he aint really “independent”..ill admit

      3. Greenbergs says:

        denzel voice, my nigga**

  2. smillinkilla says:

kids these days watched too much dragon ball z and thinking that’s that 3rd eye shit. fly away to planet z joey

  3. jsmooth says:

    Fucking awesome!

  4. shaolinmaster says:

Ehhh I used to like Joey’s music at first but he isn’t spittin any real “third eye” knowledge. He should do his research first before trying to represent the wisdom he clearly doesn’t understand. How do you come out with a track called “Get Paid” and then try to drop knowledge with this one but don’t say anything significant? These kids don’t know. Peace.

    1. Jay says:

You’re right. I was thinking the same shit. The imagery is still on point too and the unconscious mind picks up on those things too.

      1. smillinkilla says:

what imagery you are talking about? this video looks like a scene from ironman

        1. Jay says:

Sacred Geometry, flying up in the sky signifying higher consciousness, the universe, etc.

    2. DEA says:

Obviously he’s seeking to understand so why criticize this man? I love how Joey is only 18 but he’s spiritually and mentally on another level then say every rapper that’s “hot” in the game (except TDE’s camp). He’s only getting better and more in line with himself. Peace

  5. the problem is joey is coming into the music industry in the wrong time frame if this was 1994 he would be up there with nas wu tang clan jeru the damaja and the boot camp click because he has there skill level but because people what turnt up music he ll never get that legendary shine like those artists and thats a shame im still going to support real hip hop tho

    1. Greenbergs says:

he completely imitates those very artists, their shit is what he tryna recreate, shits wack to me

      1. coming from brooklyn i understand what theyre trying to do because there not trying to be nothing more than be lyricists and were we are from this makes sense any other in america they wouldnt understand because this is the birth place of hip hop culture so its differences

        1. Greenbergs says:

Um, im from brooklyn too, lmao doesnt negate the fact that joey carries his whole wack crew n that joey himself isnt all that good himself..

          1. to say the whole pro era thing is wack is a bit much when you got rappers not even trying is a bit much no doubt im from brownsville

          2. Greenbergs says:

They call themselves pro era, n act like they are bringing in a new rennaissance to hip hop…meanwhile they arent doing anything new, complete opposite..

          3. to be honest with you theres nothing new under the sun every thing is a remix of something else i dont know how old you are im 37 im not going to knock them as i said before you have rappers that dont even try so its good to see a group of young artists that care about what there saying and how they sound

          4. Greenbergs says:

but they do it blatantly and arent making records that stick…

          5. if there making 90s hip hop than there doing it right because if you grow up in the 90s nothing stuck the 90s had a lot of artists that had one maybe two singles then they were gone in the mid 90s the diffrence the boom bap style right now is not the norm so they stand out among the club hop stuff out now

          6. Greenbergs says:

but this aint the fuckin 90s dog…thats what im tryna say..

          7. that is the mid 90s there were a lot of artists came out of ny that had a few singles i have the singles and mixtapes to prove it i dont were you were in the mid 90s and my man i aint your dog feel me

          8. Greenbergs says:

lmao u a fuckin 37 yr old clown.. u right u aint my “dog”..

          9. first of all why you mad you getting bent out of shape over rap music so whos the clown nobody asked you for your opinion nigga

          10. Greenbergs says:

yet u reply to my original opinion…loll

          11. i think you got it backwards you hit me up clown

          12. Greenbergs says:

its an open forum, unless u work at cinematic music group where capital steez jumped off the roof of , go fuck urself..

          13. HEY GIRL be easy tell your moms i ll be over there later to change the water in her dish

  6. Tbh says:

Go read the Flower of life volumes 1 and 2 before u start acting like you know what the third eye and Christ Consciousness is. Atleast watch some spirit science on YouTube don’t name drop terms and call it knowledge.

    1. Jay says:

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who got that!

  7. Jay says:

    Google “Spirit Science.” You’re welcome.

  8. el jim chapo guzman says:

Joey need to switch his style.

  9. Selorm Amuzu says:

Joey is dope, my issue is he is very dated in his aesthetic, everything about him screams vintage and after a while it gets old, matter of fact when it comes to nostalgia ppl rather go straight to the past than have the past come to them at least all his contemporaries sound crisp and polished despite having clear points of reference

  10. Carlos Danger says:

when you rapping you got to cover different subject matter from paid hoes political etc… but its the way you present them makes you a true artist.

  11. Liv Profit says:

The tupac art of naming a song. “What you said at the end was dope, thats the name of the song…done”

  12. Bk1993 says:

B4DA$$ will change lives Brooklyn stand up

  13. Bigkkev says:

The future salute from a OG east coast it see you

  14. zeekmobeel says:

I thought I was in fat beats in 95 when I heard the beat. His ’90’ s flow’ is uncanny. But the track is forgettable and fast forwarded able (ah shit some of these cats don’t know what fast forward is)

  15. Bkk34 says:

The future of Brooklyn I see u grinding kid
