Most of these niggas is cornballs

  5. AthrazhuR says:

Relatively privileged teenagers identify with Childish Gambino. He’s not connecting with teenagers in the struggle across the world. He’s connecting with the privileged teenagers that Odd Future and Will Smith’s kids connect with. There is nothing wrong with their economic privilege, but we have to realize that America is a rich country and not the norm. The middle class kids across the globe may connect to their existential crisis and exploration, but the kids who are hustling…and I’m not talking about hustling drugs, don’t have the luxuries that these artists cater to. Before you come with a rebuttal, consider my point.
Run the Jewels one was incredible, I haven’t checked out the second one. Happy for them, I should get around to it.

    1. Selorm Amuzu says:

Yhh but if you look into their history, especially Tyler’s they were as broke as any kid hustling but instead of looking at the local hustlers and street niggas as a form of guidance, they went thru different routes the kind that many find nerdy and childish, privileged kids cater to them because their interest and approach is different meanwhile street kids don’t fuck with them because they don’t fit the typical “masculine” hood personas they wanna aspire to so they find them as prey some times. I think Gambino’s and Tyler’s success should be applauded due to the fact that they were successful being them.

      1. Mylo says:

Tyler wasn’t poor bruh… Believe me maybe not rich but I know for a fact he grew up in a decent neighborhood

        1. Selorm Amuzu says:

owned by his grandma whom he shared with his cousin and nephew whiles his mum moved to canada at 1 time, there is a video where he tells his come up, living in a decent neighbour doesn’t mean he had middle class money

  6. yorapper says:

The fact that I could actually listen to Childish Gambino’s album consistently and with each listen uncovered a new layer speaks volumes about his come up this year.

  7. yorapper says:

    Nobody listens to Troy Ave.

  8. yorapper says:

It must be a geographic or age thing cause I don’t know anybody that listens to Run the Jewels.

    1. el jim chapo guzman says:

    1. Michael Ib bett says:

Idk why I watched the first 5 mins tbh. Watching people talk about rap is quite boring to me these days, charlamagn didn’t say anything funny, and they just talked about a bunch od random rappers and albums from a to z

  10. still good says:

i think cyhi the prince or skooda chose def should be mentioned based on their projects this year alone!

  11. Public Hairs says:

My problem with YG as B. Dot’s choice is he focuses only on the radio and commercial side of things as his debate when we are not in an era where mainstream hip hop is properly representing the gamut of hip hop as a whole. Also, radio is no longer the main source of learning about new music as it has pretty much become what sounds like a payola playlist compliments of record execs.

RTJ didn’t have to be commercial to get on FOX, CNN etc, they didn’t have to churn out forced radio hits for their acclaim. They’re getting acknowledged by simply doing them.

  12. daffysci says:

really didnt give that to yg?? wow

  13. BIG DADDY AKA BLK DYNMTE LA 8 says:

    1. Los Da Don says:

  21. Dat Nigga Conker says:

    Logic?

  22. cannon says:

I mean i can see what b dot is saying…when toot it and boot it came out I thougnt of yg as a snap dance lafy taffy rapper but his recent album he brought out this year kinda took him out of that category, like I actually was amazed that he made that cd so i kinda take him serious now lol run the jewels were already dope and made great structured music so I wasn’t too surprised with there work because I already knew that they had it in them to make a better album..ya know?

  23. LuckyP says:

smh its not the artists that fuck the game up its these dickheads who whoever deems worthy of having a voice. FOH

Wait who crowned Bobby Schmurda Rookie of the year… One hit wonder ass.

  28. Yamzz says:

Most improved=simple, nobody thought you were dope then this yr you come in with a smash project or couple hits. RTJ has always had their core and haven’t branched out too far. YG on the other hand everyone thought he was trash before the yr. then fcked around and made the toughest album of the yr. schoolboy q honorable mention.

  29. b r z a says:

and for the record Charlemagne, Troy Average is no where near the word dope lol

  30. Capuccino says:
