    ……..UHHHH, MAYBE BECUZ HE’S WACK???

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  6. Capricorn Religion says:

I think because………….. Okay look, I think its because, he is “Kanye Cocky”, without having the “Kanye Classics”… Kanye has nothing to do with this but, I use him because, as far as attitude goes, that how he comes off..

    Now…..

Is that a disrespect to Wale’s current Discography? No. I have all his shit an think they are very under rated projects. . . . . But, like I said earlier they are not Elite Classic material…..

    Example……

1)Any Wale song vs “Can’t tell me nothing….

    2) Wale’s songs vs “Dead Presidents”

    3) “Ambition” Vs “Ready to Die”….

….. See what I mean? Now again, its not a shot at his music as of now but, people just feel like he needs to tone down a bit until he checks off one of the “Classic boxes”. SOME feel like he comes off as accomplished already without even having anything to put up againt the Classics. He is better than a high percentage of rappers out but, his attitude acts as if he is in the same league as the A-clss

  7. Capricorn Religion says:

    Typo “A-Class”

  8. JustMyOpinion says:

    @ Capricorn

^ thanks for the breakdown. I guess I can see where people are coming from. Plus, I think he feel as if “look, how much more do I need to prove to you that I’m nice?” You know.

  9. Regular Guy says:

    gotta love wale

  10. DC Native says:

@Capricorn religion you are 100% correct! I have both albums too and some mixtapes but what you said is on point

  11. JustMyOpinion says:

Don’t waste your time watching this video. I just did. It’s not an interview they literally crack jokes for 20 minutes. Ohhhh how I like satellite radio SO better.

  12. Capricorn Religion says:

And….. Not to overdue it but….

I realize he is part of the “New Era” of Hip-Hop so, he should only be judged by the current landscape but, that doesn’t matter to a certain extent. Rather it be this generation of Hip-Hop, the next, etc, etc, etc, they will still have to compete against:

    “Enter the 36 Chambers”,

    “Ready to Die”,

    “The Marshall Matters LP”

    “Reasonable Doubt”

    “Etc”

Now, I say “To a certain extent” because, HE STILL has to compete with the New classics. Again:

    1) “Ambition” vs “Good kidd, maad city”

    2) “Attention Deficit” vs “Section 80”

    3) Ambition vs “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”

    4) Any Wale songs vs Drake’s songs

Again, I like Wale alot but, how he comes off isn’t earned YET. I say yet because, I still feel he can drop his “Mainstream” Classic soon an hush a few people up

    But….

He has to get there first

    1. Starpoint feat Renee Diggs says:

Your bottom 5 haven’t hit 5 million sales off of one album so can we say they’re not there yet? Since sales & popularity is today’s theme, it’s fair to say that Hip Hop has Peak, is on a downward trend.

  13. Capricorn Religion says:

    @JustMyOpinion

“I think he feel as if “look, how much more do I need to prove to you that I’m nice?” You know.”

    EXACTLY….

If Jay-Z and Eminem can’t get away with it then, c’mon now.

    Think about it….

Yes, we hail “The Blueprint” and “The Marshall Matters LP” as GODS of Hip-Hop albums but, the question will ALWAYS be until they retire:

“So? What’s up with that next project?”

Hip-Hop, and now that I start to realize it, NBA too is always about “What’s next” until they retire.

“Wow Kobe. 81 points, 5 champions, a bunch of MVP honors, etc. WOW…………. So, your going to get another Championship right?…. RIGHT? No? Oh well, guess you feel off then”…..

  14. Rozay says:

They said maybe he will bring out Adrien Dantly, Bill Laimbeer or Vinnie the microwave Johnson in Detroit, hahahahahahahah

  15. the komet says:

Hot 97 interviews are horrible.why does it take 4 people to do the interview. Does the PD really need to be thete? Cipha and k.foxx are useless and Rosenberg won’t let you get a word in. Why didn’t they do the interview in the studio where they can talk into the mic? It’s not a more casual interview because you do it on a couch just a bad one.
    S

  16. Facts says:

This album is a flop already

  17. Set303 says:

Wale makes a good point on the wordplay issue.

  18. CM PUNK says:

Why is K Foxx even there? she don’t do anything smh…Angela Yee is waaaaaaaaaaaay better

  19. StarFox64 says:

i wonder how many pple even bother watching the hot97 interview while the breakfast club is up there…

  20. Hannibal Lecture says:

@Facts co sign. Wale’s garbage been garbage. But besides fat boy hes MMGs selling point. French did 56k he’ll do 60-70k cause hes releasing his album while his singles buzzin.

  21. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

“This album is a flop already”…Wale aint even know it

  22. Rozay says:

What I don’t understand is why do people hate on someone when they are giving an interview, you can critcize a niggas music if it’s garbage, but if the dude is garbage and you don’t ike his music, why post when he only giving an interview, that’s sucka shit.

  23. Nathaniel says:

charlemagne was right. i don’t know what envy and wale were talking about. you don’t have to like all the subject matter, but

    kendrick lamar
    j. cole
    wale
    meek mill
    tyler, the creator
    big sean
    a$ap rocky
    rick ross
    jay z
    lupe fiasco
    kanye west
    drake
    lil wayne

when you look at numbers, fanbase, influence, these are currently the most successful, and sought after rappers in the game. ALL of these niggas can rap. lyrically, they’re all formidable. you can barely name ANY era in rap music where it was THAT many solo artists selling as many singles and records, and selling out shows how these niggas are. merchandise. brand extension. and STILL formidable on the mic. he mentioned joel ortiz and royce as if there was ever a time where rappity rap niggas who write 50 bar verses with poor hooks (or no hooks) and really don’t even make good MUSIC, they’re just emcees, were the top money men in rap. that’s never happened. niggas stay talking about these eras that didn’t even happen the way they “remember” it.

lowkey, what wale is really complaining about is the fact that when you look at that list… he’s probably the most overlooked out of all those guys, aside from tyler. AND if you’re always in the club, you’re gonna hear club records. trinidad, ace hood, khaled tracks, rocko, future, french. CLUB RECORDS. hip hop is in a very balanced space, and niggas are too blind to see it.

and b.dot… niggas don’t account for macklemore’s fanbase. i never even hear him on urban radio–our stations, he may as well be the black eyed peas. so i didn’t mention him. i know he’s selling all kinds of crazy to white suburban people who don’t listen to what we do, or live the reality we live.

    1. Starpoint feat Renee Diggs says:

Hate to bust your bubble, but I can give u 2 off top, 50 cent & Nelly, Both have Diamond Albums.

    2. tipp0183 says:

i was with you with the list until i couldn’t find Big Krits name anywhere on the list. I know it was an honest mistake so i wont hold it against you.

    3. yhhhhup says:

dude.. for real? all of those artists sales are from white people aside from kendrick. they streamed tpab and knew better than to buy it. the one who gets the most hate on this site for no reason is asap rocky. his mixtape liveloveasap was some of the best material in the past 15 years. nobody has had a tape as hot as that from front to back as he did. that CD was pure bliss. Best sound in the past 15 years, easy. Hopefully his new cd touches on that sound rather than the pseudo crossover pop he tried with longliveasap. seriously everyone else on that list Meek Mill(one style so pointless, talks about nothing but fabricated shit like rick ross) big sean is nursery rhymes for women.. I could give reasons why everyone on that list deserves to be below ASAP but the rapradar fan base hates him because he cares about other things aside from the rap game that he kills

  24. Nathaniel says:

even new jacks like casey veggies, travis scott and rockie fresh, chance the rapper etc are unique talents. mad creative. what’s the problem? all that variety and niggas be mad that trinidad james got a hot single. shit don’t even matter. every time i turn on the fuckin radio, Bad is playing too for god sakes, lol.

  25. LardASS says:

wale acts like a chick aha

  26. smfh says:

wale is the worst rapper of all time

  27. Yall know says:

    @nathaniel real shit … 100 percent agree

  28. Facts says:

    @ Nathaniel

Young Jeezy had higher sales than >60% of the ‘rappers’ on your list

Them tight jeans hurt aren’t they ?

  29. Jay says:

    Breakfast Club > Hot 97…

The hot 97 interview is straight trash. Even Ebro can’t save the show.

  30. Nathaniel says:

    @facts

okay. add jeezy. that don’t change shit i said, joe. niggas and our nitpicking tendencies.

  31. Observer21 says:

    http://Www.soundcloud.com/kr-mack-1

  44. Young Fry King says:

Rappers.. Wale included need to understand the power of the “music” more than their words. At the end of the day Slum Village could talk about rudimentary nigga shit on a beat and be called “conscious” because of how Dilla beats FELT. If you try and be TOO subversive on a beat that people wanna turn up on then that just isn’t a good song. The music leads the emotion. So if he wants people to “listen” and give him credit he has to find the musical balance. His lyrics haven’t changed over the years but his beat selection certainly has. Should sit with his boss more to figure that out.

    1. Rena says:

Yeah, people talk about why Drake is successful but a huge reason is he knows how to write a hook. It isn’t a mistake that some rappers biggest hits are the ones with Beyonce, Rihanna, Alicia or some sample on the hook. Biggie’s most known hits have catchy “jingles” on the hook. If you don’t care about that, then don’t care. But I can’t stand when the “integrity types” start whining about the charts and sales then say they don’t care about them.

  45. I❤Wale says:

  54. tipp0183 says:

Rap radar doesn’t even have to shoot or edit the video and you mean to tell me they can’t easily embed this video on its own page. WTF! ? so which video are the ratings attributed to? stupid.

  55. OgSnowflake187 says:
